Name's John. I'm a 21-year-old firefighter/EMT from lolhio who doubles as a die-hard Halo fan. I've been enjoying the franchise since 2001. My favorite iteration of Halo would have to be Halo 2 simply because I never got to experience the joy of a full-on Halo: CE LAN.

If you have any other questions, feel free to ask.

Oh yeah, and boot Zome.

Do yourself a favor- don't.

Read The Fall of Reach and be satisfied with that.

"In Halo 3 not all 50's were good players, but all good players were 50's."

Your opinion is invalid.

Yup. Reach's campaign will tell you literally nothing about Halo's backstory. It's a side thing like ODTS's campaign.

  • 03.31.2012 9:03 PM PDT

You need to immerse yourself in the Halo Campaign Experience. Do it.

I read the book and the game just made me mad.

Almost as mad as when I got to the end of Mass Effect 3.

This. Putting Spartan IIIs on Reach ruined my Halo immersion. Sure, they can justify the dates and such, but it just doesn't feel right after they weren't even mentioned in the book.

Why would anyone be mad about the Spartan IVs? They come about after the events of Halo 3. They're not backtracking and forcing themselves into a pre-existing narrative to horrible effect.

The book never said anything about the Pillar of Autumn landing on Reach. Also the Spartan III's birth dates don't match up with the age of the classes, SIII's were never given MJOLNIR armor and all the spartans from Alpha company were supposed to have been killed and on Tom and Lucy were supposed to have survived Beta Company.

But nope, lets retcon everything gogogogogo.

REACH 2 ACHIEVE.
Pink but deadly

I've played like 2 missions, Couldnt really judge it from that. Is it worth playing?

Also, Im assuming I wont need it to know whats going on in H4 because H4 begins where H3 left off, and Reach happend before CE, correct?

Oh heeeeeelllzzzz yeah its worth playing!!!!!!!!! especially the ending!!! It's so epic!!!! also, Reach came before Halo 1, so yes. If you play Halo reach, I think it gives you a full sense of the game.

Don't forget about the fact that Halsey had no idea that Spartans III existed.

>In Ghosts of Onyx, which happened later, she's like "Da hell are spartan III's?"
