I know I am not the only one that has made a thread saying thank you. But I want to let you guys know my experience.

The experience that Bungie and Halo gave me.

My journey with Halo began around winter 2004. It started when me and my brother went over to our best bro friends house for the night. One of their friends went to Scotland for vacation and decided to let them borrow his xbox copy of Halo: CE while he was gone. Me and my brother played 4-player split screen with our friends for the entire night. We sucked. But we didn't care. Both of us had instantly fallen in love with the game. We wanted our parents to buy it, but we didn't have an xbox. It wasn't like we were rich, so we waited for quite some time. The only chance me and my brother could play Halo, was when we went over to their house. By 2005, they had gotten Halo 2. Me and my brother kept wishing for an xbox forever. Eventually, we got an original xbox for christmas of 2005 and some other xbox games, with one of them being Halo: CE. I beat Halo: CE and fell in love with the story. My dad went out and bought Halo 2 and I completed that too. I was excited for Halo 3 as the campaign left a cliffhanger ending. But I wanted something more out of Halo.

At the time, I lived with my dad in the Canadian countryside over the summer, so high speed internet wasn't an option. The christmas of 2006, I got an Xbox 360. But during the spring of 2007 when I was with my mom, I got xbox live during the final year of Halo 2's glory days. I was 12 years old in the 6th grade and obsessed with playing. I met friends who helped me onto my feet in the xbox live world. I set goals for myself to get better, played the most popular custom games with people wanted to be an all around good player. During the summer time when I lived with my dad, I played live whenever I got the chance.

I wrote in my agenda in the thickest and biggest writing possible, on September 25th, 2007 for the release of Halo 3. I rushed home from school and waited for my brother (who had gone out to pick up the game). We flipped a coin on who would play first. Both of us got to play and we loved the game.

A year later, both our lives lost time with video games. I was busy with Motocross racing and training. My brother was busy with school. I was still interested in Halo and I wasn't about to leave it behind. I played whenever I could. I got involved with a Halo community called "Halotracks" to do tournaments and events whenever I could. It was too good to keep away from.

When Reach was released, I was very happy with it. The short words for this game are as follows: I like it, I enjoy it and I think it is an awesome game. If you don't like it, don't play it, but don't whine and bug me about it. For most of 2011, I just normally played Reach with friends.

Today, the days of Halo with Bungie have come to an end. It is sad to see you guys go. But at the end, it is an opportunity to go on to create new and better things. Being with Bungie for Halo was one hell of ride. The experience changed my life and I will never forget it. I couldn't imagine where I would be without Halo.

Bungie, special thanks for:

-Recon Armour. Thank you for the opportunity to unlock recon to the community. Even though I didn't do anything outstanding or jaw dropping for the community, I would like to thank you guys for providing this as a gift for loyal Halo community members.

-Eternal blue flames. Great way to give back to the community and I will keep this item as a treasure.

-Bungie All Star Nameplate. Thank you Urk! It means a lot to me to be on the "Original All Star" list!

-Legendary Editions. You guys do awesome stuff for people who are loyal fans of the series. Thanks for providing these! I am also a proud owner of the Halo: Reach Legendary edition!

-All of the stats, service records and files to share. Really made Halo more enjoyable with these features, especially away from the game!

-All of the community events. Had some great times and will never forget them!

-All of the Halo games. Nobody can do it as well as you guys. As a loyal Halo fan, it is sad to see you guys go.

As a thank you note, I will reveal my Halo display which sits about my TV, every time I play xbox. I have had it up for about 3 years now, and it still hasn't collapsed (with an exception of the front Halo 3 action figures).

My monument for all of your sins.

Thank you. Those words come from the bottom of my heart.

Thank you Bungie. Thank you for everything that you have done for the community.

See you starside.
