I only selected two sensitivity's because these are what most MLG pro's use.

Your opinion is invalid.

Pros with the best aim play on 2-4.

Playing on a 2 means all of your encounters have to be at mid-range in MLG. Otherwise, you won't be able to aim your gun fast enough. An easy way to kill someone on a low sensitivity in MLG is to just strafe hard right or hard left. Their gun can't keep up with you.

3 isn't as bad, but it's still limiting your potential. I've found 4 to be the sweet spot.

How long does it take to get use to a sensitivity?

Pros play on 2-5. I'd recommend finding something around there that you feel comfortable with. It's personal preference.

Depends. Some people play on 2 and make it work, and a lot of pros that got the MLG controller that played on 3 had to move down to 2. But for the most part, yeah it's usually better to play on 3 or 4.

5 mayne.

anything less than seven feels so op. on 4 i feel i can make huge adjustments with my stick without really losing my aim. 7+ adds an extra element of control i feel. it forces you to stay calm under fire.

That's probably part of the reason your K/D is so terrible in most playlists. Don't listen to him, OP.

Tin shacks and catfish bones.

I'm more of a wannabe pro than any of you and I use 9.

  • 04.02.2012 6:35 AM PDT

do explain?
when i came across enemies, i used to freak out a little and my aim became less than optimal. turning up the sensitivity made me do that less and less over time, as i had to make the conscious decision to avoid moving my aim all that much.

so, im an idiot for doing what worked best for me, as it relates getting better at the game? and now that it worked for me, im stupid for 4 feeling too slow?

im just not sure why youre so butt devastated over something so subjective.

"I'll tell you right now, if you ever see someone called ll wa1do ll... leave the game immediately. My friend knows him, I've been in his party a few times, do not mess with this guy. From what I've heard, he's the real deal. I also heard someone made a guy named Wa2do (similar to his name) and then he hacked that guy and boosted off his level." -From Minou on Bungie.net

Who thinks "whoa, my aim is all over the place because my sensitivity is too high, let's crank it up to 7"? I'm sure if you would leave it at 3 or 4 you'd get used to it and be much better off. I can guarantee you your aim suffers because it's on 7, whether you realize it now or not.

  • 04.02.2012 10:27 AM PDT

i never insinuated that my aim was off due to a too high sensitivity. it was all due to how tense i got while fighting people. when i tense up, i tend to over-compensate in terms of aim. cranking up the sens a few notches helped me make the conscious decision to avoid tensing, by having to make tiny adjustments instead of larger ones.

what is so hard about this?

im not saying 4 sucks for everyone, and im not saying 7 is best for everyone. 7 is best for me. it has the turn speed i like and the aim speed that has been the most beneficial for me. ya'll just mad.
