Cortana 5 is a carbon-based lifeform that frequently visits these forums, currently residing in the United States. Practically every male on the site responds to her posts.

The Joyeuse IP Formula

i dont want to start a new thread just incase this is old but i just went to http://www.2552.net/ and a box poped up with weird charecters and after u press OK then the page is just white.I dont know its probley nuthin

I don't think it's Halo related. It's just an oriental language that the browser can't display properly without a plug-in. I get another pop-up windows when I visit this site, which apparently says me that my resolution is 1280x1024 and the site is best displayed in 1024x768.

EDIT: I found in the source code what it says.

Pop-up message : ϵͳÌáʾ:\n± 0;ÓòÃû»¹Ã»ÓÐ ;¼ÓÈëϵͳÄÚ www.2552.net!!
Resolution message :ÄúµÄÆÁÄ»·Ö ±æÂÊΪ"your resolution",ϵͳ×î¼&# 209;·Ö±æÂÊ1024*768

I took a look, I also think it is a fake at the moment. Although it seems to be a referance (if anything) to Cortana's line "I am your shield, I am your sword. Your sword." I took a look at the source code and it says

<!-- Hah! Bet you were expecting a hidden message here, weren't you? -->

well, that is kind of cool, and while i won't say its fake, i will say that given what is there someone other than bungie most likely made it. It is interesting though, the image fits with things quite well, i think the thing that for me makes it most halo-esque is not the whole sword thing, but the fact that it has a sort of electronic look to it as well. Cortana can be sword related and not halo related as I understand it, the name comes from elsewhere as is breifly on http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cortana . But, given the electronic look to this image, it would seem intended for the haloverse (or bungieverse? could be from marathon?), no matter where/who it came from.
As some rampant speculation, what if it turned out to be a site announcing some sort of XBL Arcade halo game, that would rock, and fit with the appearance of this image. Likely though, it is nothing (or not nothing, but just not THIS important).

Now, let me tell you something. In Doom 3 you can find many pda's with emails from Martian Buddy.com. A spam service that also delivers storage lockers with powerful weapons. Anyway, if you actually go on the website, it will come up with a page that tells you the code for their lockers found in the game.

Maybe bungie has done something similar here. The only other thing I can think of is it's coincidence.
To see what i mean, here's the site. (I don't know how to do this, but i'll try)

this is a cool find, whether it's fake or not. the style of it reminds me of some of the textures on the walls of delta halo.

Interesting. All above duly noted. Probably a fake but regardless I'm in the process of examining the "grid" - 'piece' by 'piece' if you like. I'll report if I think anythings worth pointing out but don't hold your breath. Tally ho!

Yeah the source code clearly says its a tiny piece of grid repeated over and over, youll find the same in the top left hnd corner as every where. This art work is the same as that from marathon, will find a link.

The question is why would someone spend money on a site that has one page and it not be linked to bungie or halo 3 or anything its just there. I think that would be a waste of perfectly good money and i really hope bungie does something like this just so i can have fun because it is summer break for me and i am really bored.
