MODS, lock if necessary.

The older I get in my Bnet years (still fairly young...for now, turning 3 in July) I find myself coming more and more on the Community forum and farther and farther away from The Flood. I also find myself posting more in private groups.

Also....when i'm in here, I get in a lot less trouble....so maybe now i'll have chance of getting my Intrepid Member title back.
:D

So, is this natural when getting older on Bnet?

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I find stuff here more relevant than the Flood and I prefer coming here.

I see that now as well.

I really like it over here. It's.......calm....unlike The Flood.

I find the Community Forum way more entertaining then any other of the mains. Some of the stuff that is said here is downright ridiculous.

Private Chapters > The Mains about 90% of the time.

Agreed, i'm starting to find this place a lot more comical than The Flood.

All the mods and admins lulz.

  • 04.02.2012 9:12 AM PDT

I've always spent most of my time here in the Community, I sill visit the other forums from time to time.

I come here the most also Its my kind of place, but I do go to a lot of other forums too and I try and stay active in private groups

I came for Halo, but I heard the Tru7h, fought thru Carnage, and stayed for Bungie.

The Flood has corrupted my soul. I can no longer feel the same joy I felt before when going on the Community forum.

The way I see it is that everyone on this forum (including myself) was so greatly affected by this studio that we feel a need to "give back". With Bungie in the shadows the ratio of New Members (to help) to Dedicated Members (to argue with) is 0:1. It creates a climate that produces some ridiculous (both on the good and bad spectrum) moments.

It should get interesting when the new Franchise is announced.

I just love how people give them permission.

OT: I see where you're coming from and I can relate but at the end of the day I always go back to the Flood as it always has plenty of content. The Community can run dry sometimes.

As you spend more time on a site, I think it's only natural that you become more interested and involved in the community and how it is run.

Кланяються мені!

There is a point where Halo discussion has run its course for a member. Nothing ever changes in those forums. Occasionally through spam and things I don't care about there will be a thread or so worth discussing in the Flood, then there is here, a community forum full of respectable members, employees and such. Of course I also dive deep into my sekret groups for shenanigans the average member could not possibly perceive.

MSXL: The Last Honest Chapter

Until Bungie releases their next game, I don't have much to say here. Private Group forums FTW.

Now, in the quantum moment before the closure, when all become one. One moment left. One point of space and time.

I know who you are.

You are Destiny.

When you get really old you get more skeptical. And, depending on activity levels, once you claim a solid stake in a few private groups you notice that - especially in times of darkness - your time is primarily spent in there with like-minded people.

There aren't too many stupid thread around here, so you're not really given a chance to do 'bad' things. The groups your in - depending on what they're about - tend to become a portal for a fun time (I.e., 'New Flood).

2/15/12: Francisco Porras, I'll miss you. Rest in Peace.

Everyone here is just a lot cooler than on the flood. The seventh column seems to be much more mature, and threads are more relevant. We all are here for one reason and all have that in common, not to mention the fact that mostly everyone here has like minds.
I know that's why I come here.

Some chapters use too much honey mustard.

OP if you are mainly using the Flood you are missing the best part of the site, chapters.

I agree with this. Honestly, I have found myself doing the same thing as of late. Before, I hardly ever came here, now I usually spend as much time here as I do on the Flood.
