Dear Bungie and the rest of the B.net community,
When I was about 5 years old, I got into video games. I first started out playing SMW, Star Fox, Mortal Kombat, and several other titles on the SNES. Then, I discovered the amazing thing that is PC gaming. My dad was, and still is, a huge PC gamer. The first game I ever played on the PC was Reading Blaster for ages 7-11. Learned a lot from it growing up. But one game made me scream with excitement and this was where my love for Bungie began: Oni. I fell in love with this game. Played it over and over.
But one amazing Christmas day, I received my first Xbox (thank God not the duke controller! My tiny hands wouldn't have been able to hold it!). I received two disks with this. Sega GT 2002, which was bundled with JSRF, and Halo: Combat Evolved. Needless to say which one I was more entertained with. Beat it on Legendary, played mutliplayer with my dad, and spent several countless hours playing this game after school. Halo 2 came along and I knew that this is what I wanted to do for the rest of my life. One unfortunate day though, my parents got divorced. I spent my time grieving by playing Halo 2 campaign (didn't have LIVE until '09).
A few years passed with a bitterness and loneliness in my heart until Halo 3 came along. This game was all the rage and everybody was talking about the graphics. What was I loving deep inside while watching videos because I didn't have a Xbox 360 at the time? Bungie. I remember in 7th grade how I was planning to help Bungie gain world domination. I was dreaming of slinging my enemies into a giant slingshot toward the sun. Bungie became a huge part of me. The Christmas ODST came, was when I got my Xbox 360. For two months of no Xbox LIVE, I spent my time searching for the audio diaries in ODST and living in New Mombassa in a stealthy, lethal fashion. Firefight was similar to UT 2004 so I was able to grab onto the concept quickly and began shooting with my favorite trooper, Mickey.
Now I am a junior in high school and live in Washington State. I am currently taking classes sponsored by DigiPen to learn C/C++. Once I graduate, I want to go to DigiPen as soon as possible. Why? Because after DigiPen, I plan on setting my goals on Bungie who is also in Washington state. Everything I am planning (such as my 13th year plan, Senior project, etc) is trying to aim directly towards being able to work for Bungie some day. So far, I believe I'm on the right track. My mind has been made up for a few years now. In a few more years, I'll be helping plot world domination. Here I come, Bungie!
