Obviously, everyone has their own views on the Halo Universe. I too have mine. I am just wondering if any of these ideas make sense to any of you.
Okay, we all know that people believe that Forerunner=Humans. But I have a slightly different idea in mind. Suppose, for one instant, that Forerunners are not neccessarily human. I belive that the Forerunner were instead a collective of many alien races. The reasoning I hold is thus:
343 never refers to John as "Forerunner." He instead uses the term "Reclaimer," which I believe is the name for the (ancient) human race. I think that the Forerunner were much like the Covenant: a group of several different alien races which all hold similar religious (or other) beliefs. Possibly, the ancient Covenant and Humans (and others, perhaps) could have been united in a democracy, the society and civilization that "paved the way" for the future and benefit of all races. This society may have been called the Forerunner.
Any other ideas?
