Halo will not run if you have AA enabled in its profile. I've run it with AF and haven't noticed any difference, but that's just me. For AA, I've become used to the jaggies. :P For AF, I just turn it off for better performance. I would be interested to know if you guys are seeing a noticable quality increase by using AF.

Ah, that would explain why I don't notice much of a difference when using AF. I run Halo at 640x480. >_<

As for Halo running with AA enabled, I guess you're right. You'll get a nasty warning upon Halo startup if you try running it with AA enabled. I guess you could just click the "Don't show this warning again" checkbox and ignore it forever, though it would be interesting to run some benchmarks to verify if it does have an effect on performance, despite the incompatibility issue.

I use 1268. Yea, AF makes a BIG difference at high res.

Hmm.. Well i run at 1024 x 768.
It gets a wie bit choppy on higher res' since i have to jump most because they look odd.

Thanks anyway, guess i'll have to live with it. :\

No. I get a popup window saying Halo doesn't support it. Try running at 1280x960 or 1600x1200 it should smooth out some of those jagies.

Out of curiosity, I bypassed the warning while I had AA enabled for Halo's profile. I had always seen the button "Continue anyway," but never gave it much thought until reading this thread. The game loaded up fine, but once I got to the menu, I couldn't see it. I suspect they put the warning there because on some setups AA caused too many problems. I say this because apparently you've run Halo with AA enabled in its profile and had it work fine.
