I was wondering you know how in the movie theatres during the film they'll have a pepsi on one frame so when your watching the movie it'll flash my so fast that you can't see it but your mind will catch it and then you think your thirsty. What if bungie put that in halo like your walking around and they do that one trick with a grunt were your eyes can't catch it but your brain did and you think "im going to go kill a grunt"

bah

Subliminal, not sublinear. And subliminal advertising such as that is illegal. You cannot flash a single frame on a game anyways since it's too slow. The frame needs to be on the order of less than a hundreth of a second in length to work at all. What you can do is watermark one image into another in a clever way.

Advertisers do it all the time in magazines. You might have an ad for liquor with an air-brushed naked figure in the side of the bottle. Our psych teacher showed us 2 pics side by side and asked us which one we prefered. Everyone overwhealmingly choose the pic with the airbrushed nude in it. The powers of subliminal advertsing are quite powerful, but it's illegal to use in some cases.
