_I am doubting the ability of the present Seventh Column Posse to be able to answer this question, however I will try anyways.

_Please only post here if you are knowing and willing to help. I have a troll-hunting 7-guage in the CRIST in orbit for everyone else...

_Alright, so I've been around since the Marathon days and wish to ask a question or two now that I've gotten back into it after all these years: Where's the music? I have been recently playing the Aleph-One versions of the trilogy and am noticing many differences from the games I remember, some cool and some not so cool, although it may just be my recollection at fault.

_A not so cool examplo I want to have cleared up is the music. What happened? In this new version of the game it is different, less "synthy." Also, there's no tunes in the gameplay of the second and third title... I could have sworn there was originally.

_Your help in clearing this up and possibly providing solutions along with your answers is GREATLY appreciated. Thank you very much!

_Post Scriptum:

If you don't post nicely you are but a B.O.B. to me... I'll smite ye!

Do you know what kind of hat I'm wearing?

A party hat; you don't get one. An honor will this party be, a party in your honor, for your honor. Some of Tfear's personal guards are going to be there. You'll be introduced shortly.

Prepare to die.

I've only played the aleph one versions, but this is from the marathon 2 Wikipedia page:
instead of background music for audio accompaniment of gameplay, Marathon 2 employs ambient sounds such as wind or alarms.

This site could be useful to you. (if the links still work)

And here is a group that might have more information for you.

Be genetically different, homie!

The original Marathon has them in the Tracks folder in your aleph one install. The other two game's are located in the sounds.snda files. Not sure how to open those, I'll get back to you if I figure it out.
