That's exactly what I did; I got it under the banshee platform, looked roughly down, and held backwards on the left stick to get it wedged and stationary. I shot toward somewhere around the trees beneath the first platform, can't remember the exact spot but I did it the same way on both platforms. Maybe I'll record it next time I record something else if you want (possibly tonight); it's a bit of a hassle setting things up.That would be interesting to see... I'm wondering why the two versions would have that change. IT just doesn't seem like something that would change for any logical reason...

Actually, difficulty can matter. The plasma grenade detonation timer is much shorter on Legendary. What's to say the needler's detonation timer isn't also improved?Hmm, I never knew that. Were you on Normal then?
Yet you got multiple supercombines most of the time. I didn't. Could it be that the new graphics make it look like I'm hitting the dead Elite but I'm actually hitting the ground?I doubt it. There's not that much of a difference between the size of the CEA elites over the regular ones. You were also shooting it square in the middle of its body. They would have definitely landed on the original model.
Anyways, if you compare the two videos and pause right as the supercombine takes place, it looks like both needlers have the same amount of needles left. You even get two super combines at 0:36, 0:48 and 0:53 when all the needles do hit the target.
It appears the reason you weren't getting two supercombines those times were because of how the body reacted to the first one. Pretty much each time yours bounced into the air so the rest of your needles missed. Each time mine went into the air I was far enough away and had enough precision to continue loading him with needles.
