So I bring this up because I find it hysterical, and I'm wondering if anyone else ever experiences this. Every now and again, I run into what I'll call "halo guys" in my professional interactions.
Ex. 1
I waltz into my normal workplace wearing the Per Audacia Ad Astra t-shirt. All web developers, totally cool to wear t-shirts, and that shirt doesn't scream video games. A contractor was visiting (upstanding guy, excellence impersonated) the studio, and he stopped me in my tracks to tell me he loves Halo, loves Bungie, and almost flunked college because of Halo 2. Laughs ensued. Bro-love (sans -blam!-) abounded, and we went our separate ways after 3 minutes.
Ex. 2
Just today I was getting some log-in info from a San Fran based web studio. If I told you guys the name, anyone familiar with web and AI would know it. I was getting some login info for a server and noticed that the pw was an alphanumeric amalgamation of Gravemind. The guy who manages this stuff is their IT Director.
Anyone else ever run across Halo/Bungie stuff at work or somewhere you totally don't expect to see it?
