I have an GeForce FX 5500 pci card and i can play halo and half-life 2 pretty well. I was wondering if i should get this. Itis expensive, true, but will it be any significant increase in performance? And please dont tell me to get another comp. or get a new mobo because i only have PCI, i just want to know if this will run halo/half-life 2 better. My system specs are: Emachines t2958 with 1gb (2x512mb) corsair RAM, Intel Celeron D 2.93 Ghz processor, and the other stuff i dont think is important.

yeah get a new computer.

but it will run both those games better, but not significantly better.... PROBABLY. cause 1 gig of ram will help, but you realize you have a celeron d, and a pci video card...

but it won't make that big of a difference if yo u already have a pci card, i say don't do it. waste of money, save the money and buy good stuff

You should get an AGP or a PCI-E slot. They support better graphics processor units, and if you do you should get a mid-range card like a GeForce 6600.

Here you will need this to help you get your foot out of the back of your throat, looks llike its in there pretty deep. And what is that on your face? Egg?! *hands Kim a washcloth*

not worth spendning any money on as the 6200 is already a pretty bad card.

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

The 6200 is a PCIe card... not a PCI card. The best you can get in PCI cards is what you have right now.

I suggest saving your money and building a PC of your own.

Your link leads me to nowhere. It just stops loading all of a sudden.

Anyways, it will be better if you build your own PC. But that shouldnt stop you from buying that card. =)

ok, would i be able to get a new mobo and just pop it in, or do i have to get a new hard drive too? Because maybe, i might be able to squeese out enough money to get a new mobo + cpu. What do u guys think?

haloking is right, you can buy the 6200 in PCI. Why you would, I have no idea. Its a crappy card. If your going to buy a card do yourself a favor and save up a little for something like a 6600GT
