the ark on earth is just like noahs ark. the last time the halos were activated from the ark, everything around the ark survived (humans and earth life). i think the beam of light comeing out of the ark in the halo 3 trailer is a force feild thingy to protect it from the halos blast. hence why earth is all alone in that part of the galaxy and the only planet with life on it. On the other side of the galaxy were the covenant are from, and i think i read somewhere didnt get affected by the first halo blast, there are lots of planets with life on them, hence why the covenant are made up of different species. So the ark protected earth, thats why the prophet wants to go there, so he dosnt die or something. i dont know, summer is boreing i think of things that have no importance to my life what so ever.

Cortana
It is a blurred line that lies at the edge of Godhood and Insanity. Guess which side of it I am on.

The real enemy in Gears of War.

The legend of Croatoan

That is a good theory. And i agree with it.

I posted this topic about a week or more ago. However, the noah's ark part is NOT off topic. This post talks about the Ark, and there is a theory saying the Ark is a protection device against the Halo rings. Like how the original Ark was designed to protect against the Great Flood.

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

i don't see the basis for that theory. if that was the case then the forerunners would have populated the planet, and if they did then where are all of the high technology facilities? and don't say that humans are the foreruners. it would make no sense to think that forerunners became stupid and had to re-invent things like math and science and began to call themeselves humans. to go back to using iron and steel, only to move on to low grade projectile weapons followed by weapons of mass destruction when they could harness energy all this time does not make sense. i'm sorry, i don't agree with your theory, at least not without any proof/evidence behind it.
