Generalizations.
Helping idiots hate other idiots since people have existed.

We all gripe and complain about armor abilities, how they're unbalanced, how they ruin Halo, ect.
Take a trip back to Halo 3. Remember powerups and equipment? They were scattered across the maps rather than being a starting equipment, and they were generally well-liked.

What if Armor Abilites were pick-ups rather than starting equipment? I think it would be a more balanced game; it would throw in another aspect of Map and Weapon control. Not to mention, once the user of the pickup dies, it's gone and won't be back for another 1-2 minutes.

I believe MLG does this with the jet pack; in your opinion, how would this work out with other armor abilities such as Armor Lock?

People would rush AL instead of the power weapons.

Then AAs wouldn't of gotten so much hate.
They still would of gotten some, but not as much.

Bungie created the host-selection system.

And you know this how?

LOL, Mains kids

Then I wouldn't really have a problem with them. However spawning with invincibility and the ability to break maps isn't really a good idea.

Unless your name is Bungie.
Then the idea is -blam!- brilliant.

That was sort of the idea. You might send 2 guys to grab rockets, 1 for sniper, and maybe your fourth would rush AL.

That's not necessarily a bad thing (unless you put AL on Countdown or something like that).

If it was equipment it would have only one use, no biggie.

Yes, it works quite well in MLG. Perhaps just putting AL in big vehicle maps, that would solve a ton of problems.

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

AA's wouldn't be that bad as pick-ups.

AA's as pickups should've been that way since the beta.
