The E3 exhibitors page doesn't seem to list Bungie or 343i.
It does have Activision and Microsoft though.

Per Audacia Ad Astra

Of course, we can all agree that this would be great, but we can also all agree that it won't happen. Not the way Bungie does things.

Does every thread have to devolve into a hate-fest? This is about whether you want to see Bungie's next game at E3, not how good/bad Reach was. I admit, I was part of it too, but can we stop complaining about it?

Thank you for saying that; I asked for people's opinion on Bungie's next game not halo reach. I hate how people were turn just any forum into a hate forum no matter what it is.

Oh of coarse there not going to I just want to get everyone else's opinion.

It's been way longer than 3 years. I'm pretty sure this is what Jason has been doing since Halo 2.

As I said, there is a difference between attempting a well-reasoned debate of another's opinion and a "hate-fest." But I digress, and I do apologize for getting so incredibly off topic.

On the discussion at hand:
Would I love to see something of Destiny come out at E3 this year? Sure. But SHOULD Bungie do it? I really can't say. If I knew how far along in this project they were and how large the project was, I could make a more sound judgement. I have to say that they should, but if, and ONLY if, they are ready to end the blackout they have us in. That would signify that the game is near completion and they are satisfied enough with it to let us begin to understand what we're dealing with.

I find that the worst phase of pre-release buildup is "teaser time," when you're given teaser trailers and nondescript images but actually have nothing of substance to look at. It gives just enough info for people to start speculating wildly, but not enough for any of that speculation to have real basis. I remember when this happened with Reach; we had nothing but the teaser trailer and the silhouette image of (what we'd later learn was) Noble team, and yet people came up with THOUSANDS of threads claiming that they had "proof" of this thing or that. It was equivalent to a flooded wasteland; chock full of nothing of value.

I like where we are now. People don't know anything, so the only people who come up with things are actual theorists, and they don't waste anyone's time by trying to say that they've proved anything or that they even KNOW anything. They're just seeing connections and drawing rather educated conclusions, and people who don't want to take that kind of time keep their mouths shut. I also like it when we actually have information to work with, because although it allows for more speculation than our current blackout phase, the speculation actually has basis, and you can have real discussion and debate.

I cap fools.

I saw the gold septagon and got excited. Then I read the thread. Let me sum it up for anyone just joining us so they don't waste their time reading the walls of text: "boohoo, Reach."

OT, I'm sure everyone wants Bungie to drop some info at E3. But I doubt it's going to happen.

I understand you completely dude I'm just saying that whole situation should not have even happen. Don't get me wrong though I am not pissed at any one person I'm just a little upset at the situation.

Could someone explain the gold septagon to me? aka 7th column.

Nate - Project Tool Designer

If a Bungie Employee posts in a topic, that topic receives a golden Septagon next to it on the topic list.

I don't think that's a fair assessment. I'm reasonably sure every text wall was mine, and I certainly wasn't putting forth an anti-Reach argument. The on topic stuff just gets a little lost in the ether because it's not really a discussion or a point to argue, it's really just a yes or no kind of thing.

"You build on failure. You use it as a stepping stone. Close the door on the past. You don't try to forget the mistakes, but you don't dwell on it. You don't let it have any of your energy, or any of your time, or any of your space." -Johnny Cash

We've been in the dark long enough, so I wouldn't see why they shouldn't.

Waypoint Moderators aren't really Moderators, just power hungry and its goal is defend their beloved Halo at all costs. (Meaning that they wank Halo too much.)

BS Angel is alleged foe so, be wary of Waypoint and its moderators! Do not attempt to move to Waypoint. Enter your own risk.

*WARNING* IT IS MY OPINION.

You clearly have not been here long enough to know that your opinion does not matter.

Only idiots dismiss any opinions, and that is you. Besides, you see, I was here long enough, this is my second account due to my three year account being disabled due to faulty hotmail issues.

The argument is over. You have no reading comprehension at all. Please, you must understand that it is my opinion is that Reach is incredibly flawed. This is not appropriate topic to point out those flaws and explain why it caused Reach to be a mediocre game. Perhaps some time in future, I will explain in my own thread only if I feel like to.

I'm fully aware of that fact. The point I am driving home here is larger than whether Reach is a good or bad game. If you make the choice to voice an opinion, you must be prepared to defend that opinion from the arguments of people who feel differently, or sit quietly and listen as those people rip into your opinion. If you are not prepared for either of those options, then you should keep your opinion to yourself. In case you were unaware, that's how discussion works. This is not appropriate topic to point out those flaws and explain why it caused Reach to be a mediocre game. Then you should not have brought Reach up to begin with. I clearly admitted to taking the issue deep into off-topic territory, but every person who brought up the unrelated issue of Reach in a discussion about Bungie's possible presence at E3 is certainly culpable as well.

That is pointless to ask someone to keep their opinions to their selves. This is forums. Nobody will comply to any orders expect moderators or admins. NOBODY.

It's like asking a child to stop taking education at school.

You seem to be constantly misunderstanding what I'm saying. I'm not saying you have to keep your opinion to yourself; you have every right to voice it. What I'm saying is, if you do choose to voice your opinions, realize that the people who disagree with you have just as much right to dissect them, as I have done.

  • 05.02.2012 6:05 AM PDT

look I am glad that your two are on my forum talking about Bungie's work. However please try to keep your discussion about the topic and not your opinions of Halo Reach, and who is doing what.

  • 05.02.2012 5:15 PM PDT

Is it so hard to post about the topic???

  • 05.02.2012 5:51 PM PDT

I think they should though I hope they go for something as opposite from the halo games as possible

Tom.

It would be nice, at least something.

Bungie did say they were going to be going dark for a very long time, so bare with them. But in all honesty, like I said above, something is better than nothing and it wouldn't hurt them to drop some information.

Yes it should just be a gif showing bungie's logo and the logo (the one with the name) of their next game.
