This, don't PM any other mod.

The report button works. Promise. Remember my week absence?
I don't even know who you are....

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

I only PM mods when it is a severe infraction: shock sites or things like that.

Report if the guy is being an -blam!- and PM if it serious. Very rarely do I PM though.

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

I always report -blam!-. If something is serious, I'll see if any moderators are online and let them know, but that's about it.

Modstalk has proven a valuable asset at times.

#1 Legendary ODST Firefight Highscore

[UNINTELLIGIBLE > INSUBORDINATION(?)]

Mostly just report button, unless it is immensely pressing matter.

Report button always unless it has to do with PM's which requires a Bungie employee.

Yes Costco. I need a 50lb bag...I mean sack of sugar.

I pmed the crap out of Foman one time and he said as politely as possible that he can't monitor every single thread and that I should report and leave it be. Since then, I don't PM mods about things that should be reported. I also haven't seen anything lately worthy of pming a mod.

yeah this reminds me of the time i got sent to jail for stealing crocs from target becozs i wanted all of the colors because i only got the green wons for my birthday and i wanted more ;)

I rarely message mods. Clicking report is so much easier.

There comes a time in every mans life... and that time is not now.

Report button. It's way more reliable than sending a PM.

  • 04.10.2012 12:07 AM PDT

I have PMed mods before, but I usually don't bother. I report sometimes, but that's it.

I like to PM them because I don't think the report button does enough to stop spam.

If it's a serious problem, I'd try to find a mod online and PM them.
If it's not really serious, report and move on.

"We live in a special time; the only time where we can observationally verify that we live in a very special time" - Lawrence Krauss.

I was a finalist :P

I prefer reporting; especially around this time where the moderation activity noticeably drops. Best let it move to the report queue (unless in obvious circumstances; like threads/posts involving personal information, ect) rather than PM'ing moderators when you have no idea when they'll next be on.

While it does take a few reports, a collapsed post is like sending a message to all moderators at once, per sei.

I do both in circumstances where the thing I'm reporting is severely needing attention asap.
I feel as though the report button could use an add-on or two....Basically something to identify what's being reported....Though I know Bungie went with simplicity in this case.
Sorry, gonna beat this horse to death.

Am I the only one here who thinks PMing a moderator is far more productive than simply clicking the report button?
