I would like to give credit to Waterwarrior for bringing this up.

Ok, so we know Cortana is in the clutches of the Gravemind on High Charity. We also know that the Arbiter, 343 GS, Johnson, and Keyes are on Delta Halo. The Master Chief is on board the Forunner ship with the Prophet, and most of Earths defenses have been obliterated by the Covenant Armada (evidenced by the weekly updates as well as the FAQ).

So, how will the game begin? I would not be surprised if the game were to start with you (Master Chief) attempting to hijack the Forunner ship, and possibly take out a few Covies along the way.

Or perhaps you will start off with the Arbiter, slipspacing into the fray of battle above Earth, board a landing craft along with any Elites left and the humans, and head toward either a) a Covenant cruiser to attempt a defection (as in telling the once-loyal Elite ship commanders to stand down) or hijack b) the Forunner ship to attempt an intercept, or c) to the Earths surface where a Covenant dig team is being assembled.

What do you think? Post your ideas here.

EDIT: The game will have to start with a tutorial, as pointed out by bulatzi, so perhaps there will be a flashback to John's training days on Reach?

I'll go with that one and the ship crashes on Earth and the prophet getting away.

Well they would have to explain exactly how you suddenly appear on Earth. The Master Chief stowed away on the Forunner ship, rememeber?

Well, yeah, but that's because the ending to Halo:CE was left WIDE open. In Halo 2, we already have an established line of events. And besides, he probably just slipspaced the fighter to Earth. At least I beleive that is the most popular theory.

EDIT: THERE IS NO LEAKED SCRIPT! Don't poison my thread please thank you come again =)

Your probably right but at the end of Halo 2 your already on earth or at least in space around earth, so your already there. I think that the ship'll land on earth and youll get out but be to late to kill the Phrophet of truth so hell go on another chase for him.

I also doubt you will start at delta halo because you recently killed taurterus (speling) and there will be a bunch of pissed off brutes. Last of all, unless you can play as cortana, it pretty much has to be a flash back.

In response to Ginchotron.Possibly. We have to remember that there is an uprising happening in the Covenant at the time. The Elites and Grunts have defected. Case and point, Elites are the captains of Covenant capitol ships (the Arbiter was the captain of the ship in Halo CE), so unless the Covenant can replace all of there captains, they are screwed.

Serious dude slipknot is gnarly, but in a bad way, there like satanic or something. Yeah your right about the covenant uprisings and stuff, pretty much i have no idea i just like to guess. But do you think it wil be on earth or somewhere else?

Is it possible that they will bring in the other spartens at some unknown area for a tutorial? I dont really see anywhere else as a good starting place.

Ginchotron: yeah, I do believe it will take place on or in orbit around Earth. That would be my most likely guess. Unless of course some Grunt read the slipspace map wrong and sends the ship into a black hole ;)

bulatzi: Ya know, I've heard a lot of specualtion concerning the other "unaccounted-for" Spartans. it's possible that they are being held captive on board the Forunner ship, but personally, I dont belive it.

i dont think they're going to start you off with new armor for mc because wouldn't they have to get the arbiter new armor too? But maby when you switch between the arbiter and mc you use different armor. Or you just wont play as the arbiter at all.

Well I'm assuming it won't be until later that you recieve the upgrades to your armor (after you rejoin whatever is left of the human forces.)

  • 05.30.2006 8:33 PM PDT

Doc: "i'm a pacifist"
Caboose: "your a thing that babies suck on?"
Tucker: "no dude, that's a pedephile"
Church: "tucker, i think he means a pacifier"

i think it should either pick up exactly where it left off, with MC on the forerunner ship, and his first mission should be to get off and warn the UNSC. either that or the arbiter cutting through the flood trying to get off of delta halo and get to earth with johnson and miranda.

New armor for the Arbiter? sounds awesome. But the MC's armor in the trailer looks thrashed but somehow new. I dont understand it. Mabye therel be a different( but similar) HUD every time you switch between the Arbiter and the MC.
