I consider all of my friends that I've made on Bungie.net to be real friends instead of a group of people that have some of the same interests as me.

It really depends. Creating friends in real life is no different than creating friends on the internet. Truth is, you can't tell what your friends look like on the internet, beside facebook and other social media website.

Eh, can't say I've made friends. More like acquaintances where we just have these passive/indirect conversations/interactions/collaborations. Though i'm not really the kind of person that goes around collecting friends, just here to put my 2 cents in and waste time.

If i happen to make friends, also fine. Whatever happens happens.

I just got here 2 weeks ago. :S

I haven't made any enemies, if that counts for anything! ^^

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

I would take a bullet for some of the people I've met here, that is to say that I consider some people that I've met during my time here to be very good friends / mentors.

Carpe Diem - Carpe Coffee

Astronomy Picture of the Day!

I have definitely established friendships via Bnet that are on the same level of importance of some of my best "real life" friendships. Hell, I even owe this site and Bungie for allowing me to meet my significant other.

Point is, like others have said, you get back whatever you put into this community. To me, this community is definitely a way to set up significant real life connections with other members. At this point, I don't think I'd be able to go about interacting with this community in a completely anonymous way.

There was a time that I considered several people on this site close friends. Now, we've drifted apart quite a bit. A bit sad to think about, but life goes on.

I miss you, Qbix. I miss you bad.

Edit: And Foman... Those CI days were the best.

Nope. I hate all of you.

I less than three you too.

I think private groups are the best place to make friends, especially from being here a while. You sort of figure out which users from each generation are just going to drop out of using Bungie.net and then there are ones that you can look up 2 years from now and not expect their title to be "absent member".

The only reason I hang around here anymore is because of friends, private groups, spare time and Bungie. It's a hobby of mine.

You people have just sent my sides into orbit. A bunch of MLG try hards sucking the dick of some supposed pro half the thread hasn't even heard of. Classic.

I have made some friends because of this site. Like real life though some of them have passed and our core group no longer gets together. I have made some more friends since but I find myself growing apart from this community.

I find less and less here that keeps me coming back.

Come on, Evilcam, you can't say no one likes you...

I've met people I like on here, but none I would consider friends, even if we somehow met up, we would be nothing more than close acquaintances.

Hello, I'm Mr AwesomePizza. I like pizza and I'm a man. Reasoning for the name. I like to listen to the classics of music, write poetry, play video games, and much much more. I'm always down for a nice chat, so please hit me up for some conversation.

I consider them friend.

Relax, they aren't all pony related.

If I had the pleasure of meeting two of the three of them, I'd wonder where I got the money to travel all the way around the world. The other, well, I don't think I can make to the next state and back without someone here wondering why I'm not at work. So yes, at the least, I refuse to die without having meet these three guys.

...at the least.

Personally I have accumulated more than enough real friends here over my tenure. Some have fallen to the side where others are constants in my every day life. My moderator brethren are a prime and forefront example of those that contact me regularly by personal means. Aside from them I have met and made friends with a great many people that exist within this community and I've very appreciative of their friendship and how strong our relationships have remained through the many years of Bungie games and continues onward. To those that are them, <3.
