I have not met one single friend here.

Only an ever growing list of enemies...
Did I make that list?

I've made several friends from HLG.

Too bad you can never find them

zing!

OT: I guess I have a few 'virtual friends', then a number of virtual 'recognize around the place' etc. In any case, I generally prefer anonymity.

Didact's Reprisal -
Now is the time of our unworlding
One final effort is all that remains
And I am not afraid
We shall fulfill our promise
We fight for the grace of the Mantle
And this time none of you will be left behind

It's very rare I make friends on here anymore. But yes, if I befriend you, I consider you as much a friend as anyone else.

On the other hand, I will be going down to Georgia come summertime to meet up with a fellow Marty Army veteran and three old Halo 2 friends. After 7 years...we meet at last!! Considering my family knows them, and at least one of their families knows me, this is a long time coming.

Jack of all trades, master of none.

It difficult to make friends with people who live on the other side of the world to you, since they don't respond to what you say for 8 hours, and then vice versa.

However, xbox live is a different story. SOme of the friends I have on their I have made good friends with, which I think would last if we were to meet in real life.

Mythical Group

There is no greater catharsis than arguing on the Flood.

I would say the closest of those I've made I'd count as good friends as any, but the majority are just good companions and associates.

Trying something once will increace your chances of success, because you tried it. Try someting twice, and your chances increase yet again - seeing as you've done it. Try something a few thousand times, and your chances of success is exponentially increased; this increase would likely provide success every time

Honestly, I can't say that I've made any true friends on here - though my associates likely feel differently. I learned at a pretty early age that it is far too easy to be something you're not over the internet.

Admittedly, I have trust issues. The people here that I speak with, I consider them my associates. While I do thoroughly enjoy our time conversing - since I don't get much game time in these days - I just can't trust that they are who they're coming off as.

That is, until I'm able to meet them in person. I have the utmost respect for many of my associates, and it would be awesome to meet them - all of them. Unfortunately, I haven't gotten the opportunity to meet any of them - which is why I'm totally stoked for PAX this year.

Once I meet them in person, I can decide for myself how honest their alias is - though I'm positive many strong friendships will be built.

It's never too late to start fixing that. You won't be disappointed; a lot of people here are genuinely cool to be around.

I met my gaming partner via halo2 so I suppose that's something. We've been gaming together since around 05 so it's been a good thing.
