Chapter

So guys I'm graduating this June and I want to plan a trip. But not just any trip, a badass trip. To Seattle, Washington. You've probably already guessed, I want to visit Bungie's HQ and it's not like I'm trying to get a sneak peak at their new game I honestly just want to go visit and see the HQ in person. I live in Merced, CA (you know you haven't heard of it) so it would be a long trip and I'd hate to go at the way to Seattle for nothing. Are the chances of me actually getting in and seeing Bungie HQ with my own two eyes as slim as I think they are? I'll bagels and bananas for them..

Edit: The journey has changed and my mission has been altered due to the slim chances of accomplishing it. Although I may be turned away at the door , I plan on at least visiting the Bungie HQ whilst I am in Seattle for PAX. See you there!

Double Edit: My thread has become a PAX discussion...haha

It'd probably help to ask an employee nicely before you go. And if you go, it should probably be for more than just Bungie's HQ.

You don't have to write for gameinformer or something to get into PAX...?

No. You pay for the passes (which are not on sale yet). Just get your plane tickets ASAP and try to find people to room with. As PAX draws closer, you'll see more threads about it.

I went last year for the first time and had a blast; good times, great people.

I live 150 miles from Merced. I have heard of it, although I don't remember what Radio Station it was from down there that we used to get up here in the 916 during summer.

As far as Bungie goes, I doubt tours are happening, but take pics of the studio and then go to Alberta and have your first legal beer (Drinking age is 18 there).

Take some of your buddies with you and have a memorable trip.

I personally thought the best part was meeting Marty. But I could be wrong.

This is a beter idea. Plus, there will be more things to do at PAX than to stare at the glory of Bungie's headquarters.

18 is the legal drinking age in Alberta, Canada and a few other provinces. In the rest of Canada, it's 19. In the U.S., it's 21.

You want to plan a trip to another state just to see the HQ?

You are going to come around the corner, and say to yourself, "I do say that is a mighty fine building", and then go home.

Well then...Canada knows how to treat their youth I suppose but I think I'm going to want to remember the trip so I'll stay away from the beer.

That doesn't make me wrong. It makes me slightly more hesitant to argue with him, which I do anyway.

Yeah, good point.

Better to plan out a trip to Seattle (IMO, the best time is during PAX Prime, which this year is Labor Day Weekend) and then enjoy all of the cool sights that Seattle has to offer -- Space Needle, the Fish Market, the first Starbucks, the water and Alki beach, and even some of the cool live music that Seattle is famous for. Then swing by Bungie HQ if you really want to see it, but expect to be turned away at the door. It's a place of work, not a museum. Sometimes Jerome is in a good mood and lets people wander around the lobby, but a tour of the studio is, obviously, not going to happen.
