Hello, I'm pretty sure everyone here has made a group that never quite made it. And if you haven't, then let me just say it happens and not much you can do about it to fix it. So I was wondering if we ever created a group that we are still in charge of, can we have an option to delete the group as a whole instead of individually kicking members?

TL;DR: Can we have a button to delete our groups that we created?

You should never have started a group then...

Only after we ban Bricypoo.

Psh, Who needs that button? I know I would never have a group completely fail.

SERIOUSNESS: Though a button like this would come handy, especially if your group was for some type of experiment, or joke or something.

Please stop complaining about the 'death of a loved one' it's my job. They probably deserved it anyways. Here's a warning, if you keep making pentagrams out of the neighbors livestock I will personally come to your house and kill everyone you love. Now leave me alone, I got to get back to work.

It would resemble the big red self destruct button you should never touch. If it existed it would blow hardcore if you did it by accident.

Bye.

The only problem I can think of, off the top of my head, is in the case of promoting the wrong guy. We've all heard stories of groups that have given special abilities to the wrong person who then goes wild. A "Delete Group" button is the last button you would want in that situation. This is only a concern if you mean that others aside of the admin could be given access to this option. (which would seem silly at first, but what about the case of an admin who no longer logs into Bnet?)

I think another reason for it not being here already is in the case of accidental group deletion. At least the by kicking everyone you have the intention of deleting your group. Although if you're silly enough to press the button and expect something other than a deletion to occur, then you don't deserve to run a group.

Personally, I think a "This group isn't going anywhere" button would be a nice addition for the group creator.

I can think of at least one person that would like that button...

*stares tenaciously at Bricy*

But yeah, that would probably be a well deserved implementation. The feature could at least be put into one of the more popular user-scripts.

I once had to kick over 1000 inactive members from the Spartan Special OPs that were inactive and that wasn't fun. There should be at least a mass deletion tool.

Most groups that fail are due to lack members, and activity. The two mostly go hand-in-hand, so kicking a member or two before deleting the group doesn't seem like such a big chore. Then again, if we're talking about a big group that just went inactive for some reason, I could totally see that coming in handy. And hey, you never know, maybe your group will kick start years after making it, or activity will increase again. Hope ain't a bad thing.

I think it would be improving groups to let the administrator have a "delete group" button. It would be easier to do; not having one only delays the inevitable of getting rid of the group anyways through kicking users.

Simple leave the group, let it stay active without you. It sounds like a win win for you and the group.
