Seeing as it has been a year and a half since Halo 2 came out and the Halo 2 online guide hasn't been update, perhaps Bungie's online team needs to outsource. There is a guide for Ascention but all the other maps are "Coming Soon." Yes, I realize that this isn't realy important, but it is a bit... mmmmm... sloppy?

So how about having a Write A Guide contest. Have members write guides for maps, Bungie picks which ones are best and put them up. No prizes need beyond the honor of having your guide up on Bungie.net.

"I pledge to punch all switches, to never shoot where I could use grenades, to admit the existence of no level except Total Carnage, to never use caps lock as my "run" key, and to never, ever, leave a single BoB alive."

2B || !2B - Why don't you look Inside the Machine?

That is not a bad idea, but it would probably consume more time doing the actual contest rather than Bungie just doing the guide themselves. Plus they are probably furiously working on Halo 3.

Why not play the level and find out where everything is on your own. Why must people live off a guide to know where stuff is.

I think that is good. I just have to say the bungie people don't need to waste time on things like guides. They need to update games more. I mean if you got a staff to do the guide only yes. If you made a contest for a guide on Halo 2 then you would most likely get 1 good guide that bungie could edit and use as an offical guide as long as they give credit. One thing if you have a contest there won't be many people that do it if there is no prize. So overall I don't think a full guide is needed.

To be fair, as Ash is an uber 1337 Halo player, who lives and breathes mulTiplayeR, and knew where everything was on pure instinct alone. However the unfortunate majority may not, especially new players, so I think it's a valid suggestion.

It's a nice idea. I'd like to see some more content like that around, and good, fan-written stuff would be really great to see.

Yeah. Sounds like a plan.

I've been writing a huge article on all this, and i was on page 7 (single spaced, full pages of info) when my computer crashed and died. Now its working, but my hard drive was destroyed completely.

Of course, i still know exactly what i'll be writing about, and since i got all my stuff set up and summer break in a week, i'll be doing this much more vehemently. I bet i could write 30 pages on the subject of gameplay, with pictures and an in depth look at everything.

But if there's going to be a contest, screw it. It would make me want to do it for the contest, and not for the fact that i could do it.

Still, someone who could do a better job on it but wouldn't do it without the contest could make it worthwhile.

All i really know is that i've brought up the missing info on the map's and the problem was that someone would have to go over everything sent in, which would be problematic.

How about we have a contest to decide who can create the best contest? Hm?

To the point...

It sounds like interesting idea to me, and I'd like to see it done. Then again I could go and say the same thing about skiing naked, and either way my opinion doesn't make a whole lot of difference.

I thought Frankie already did that!
