Location: Outlaws' Summit.

In the beginning, there were the forerunner. a race supeirior to all other races. they were prideful too and wanted to maintain there dominance. across the galaxy lay the prophets, a race to cocky to sit back and watch humans dominate. there were the sangheilli (elites) who were at war w/the brutes and the jackels and grunts mixed in w/the others. the forerunner were too bright to let the prophets, led by their leader, Truth, to take over. however, with an alliance w/the brutes, the humans were becoming outmatched. they turned to aid in the form of the elites, who would help them only b/c they were honorable fighters.

however, even this alliance couldnt stand up to Truth and the newly formed 'covenant.' they decimated the forerunner as they took over their planets, each one falling like the last.
so the forerunner, not winning the technological battle, turned to the biological battle. they had created a presence known as Gravemind out of greed of not losing their status and sent him forth to wreak havoc. however, this creature was programed to release a parasite that was not sentient and could take over host bodies. it became known as the flood and eventually turned the tide of the battle. however, the flood couldnt be controlled by gravemind, only influenced. this omnipresence warned forerunners that its sins would be the archietect of its own demise. the forerunners created 7 worlds out of the design of a new planet they had found and used them as temporary living locations and labs to study the flood.

all hope seemed lost, so the general of the entire forerunner command, in MJOLNIR armor, ordered that each station equip a pulse that vaporizes all sentient life in the galaxy. the gravemind presence provided the necessary information and in exchange was placed in installation 05 for its own good. there was a central location built to activate all of these rings at once, with the forerunner captial ship being used to power it. the prophet of truth, in one desperate attempt launched an all scale invasion on the newly formed forerunner planet. with the parasite infesting his troops and his reputation at stake, truth began fighting his way and conquering earth. upon reaching this 'Ark', Truth gathered intel that this general who he has matched wits with during these years has constructed a way to win the war and destroy the flood. the general had 7 'moniters' created for each station. one in particular, was named 'guilty sparks' b/c of the guilt in what this general feels for his race that is the forerunner. it stayed by his side until the end and alerted him that the scientists had failed and the halos were being taken over by the prophets. that, coupled with the imminet flood invasion, promted the general to make a last second descision. he took a group of people and cryogenically froze them and told the monitors about these reclaimers. should the flood break out again, they are the ones who will activate halo and purge them. when asked about the war, the general said it was meanlingless, as everyone is gonna die except those frozen. he made a request that the species who helped the forerunner be placed here as well, so that they too can survive after this mass genocide. they monitors followed the orders and went to their respective posts.

Truth, realizing what is to happen, took the forerunner ship and froze himself, as well as his trusted aid, mercy, and the brutes and fled at lightspeed to escape the galaxy. Mercy says he promises they'll be back. as everything is being destroyed and the galaxy swarming with destruction, the general looks at sparks and says. "If it were up to you, would you do this?" sparks says he doesnt know the answer to that at this moment. the general activates the 7 halos and embarks on the great journey.

It's not possible at all. The Covenant (including the prophets) are completley oblivious to the truth about the halos so your theory doesnt work.

You sure?, the grunts, elites, jackles, drones, and brutes yes but not the prophets. Remember the Heritics, they were preching the prophets lies. i personally think that the ancient war between the prophets and elites never ended the elites were only tricked into a fake alliance.

The Elites WERE the most trusted by the prophets, as their loyal protectors, so I'm not so sure they were TRICKED...... Anyway, sorry bud, but I don't believe this theory.

Not true! The Spartans were created by Dr. Halsey, not the Forerunners... And they weren't found frozen, so none of this makes any sense.

Its all the same, doesent rally matter how the trust is, its how the prophets (or at least truth) are lying to the rest of the covenant. And dont get me wrong i dont beleive his theory either, just tryin to show somethin.

Also why would the Halo's be sacred to the Covenant if they had been at war with the Forerunners? After all, the Forerunners built the Halos. I would think the first thing the Covenant would do is destroy them.
