Btw, I'm new to all of this, how do you submit questions?

There is usually a thread each Monday to submit your questions.

You also like Horsies.

  • 04.13.2012 3:24 PM PDT

Awesome! Thanks.

If you do game credits, can you put me in the next game's credits?

What do you mean, since when? I've always been an Engineer. I write code (mostly in C#). That's my job description (although it is often written as "Online Engineer" or "Server Engineer" or "Bungie.net Engineering" on game credits).

Posted by: ctjl96
Wait, does that say Achronos is an Engineer? Since when?

Also, reading the sack now.

"I have no words that would do justice to the atrocities you commit to the English language, as well as your continued assaults on the concepts of basic literacy and logical reasoning."

Lol, yeah, lots of engineers were engineers long before they got a degree, and some don't even bother with that.

Engineers are a special kind of person that is both lazy and driven, logical and irrational. You don't learn that in school.

These are the words I say to my chemical engineer housemate when I want a rant on the reasons I didn't do a real degree. I love him to bits.

BTW... to the other posts about "who makes the website"... uh, several people, including me. We have an html/client guy, a designer (stosh), a mobile dev, and three engineers (people with my skill set) who code the "engine" that makes the pages and content appear. The current Halo-era bungie.net runs on something nicknamed "BlamDotNet", and has been iterated on 2004. Before that, there was blamfreeze.pl (2003), and before that, blam.pl (2001).

Bye.

I just read the small print of your post DeeJ.
The challenge for this week has been supplied by Jon Cable. If you can earn his bonus points, you can cash them in for secret gifts from me.I expect at least 1 and a half physical prizes, a custom avatar and a new forum title, "F13TH" or "Thirteen". Make it happen!!!

:-)

I'm guessing Legos had a lot to do with your engineering path...

In a time long past, the armies of the dark came again to the lands of men. Their leaders became known as the fallen lords, and their terrible sorcery was without equal in the west.
In 30 years they reduced the civilized nations into carrion and ash. Until the free city of Madrigal alone defined them. An army gathered there, and a desperate battle was joined against the fallen
Heros were born in the fire and bloodshed of the wars which followed and their names and deeds will never be forgotten

I am trying to major in computer engineering, I didn't know it was a lot of building, I thought it was a lot of coding.

It's a lot of handwriting, that's what it is.

Am I so far behind in the times that it is incorrect to call them Legos'? Also I always thought engineering is being able to invision something, using what is at your disposal, and then creating it.

Building, coding, I think it's all basically the same. You're building the code, right?

Go easy on me Achronos; I work more with level design and I'm starting 3D modeling.
