I say rent it, and find out for yourself. I never listen to other's opinions on games. I'd much rather find them out for myself and then decide if I like it or not.

The game is supposedly never-ending. Technically, this is true. You can beat the main quest and all the side quests but even after all that you can still resume the game and play out a "medieval" life in the game. How fun is that? I personally dont know because I've only played it over my friend's house for a couple hours.

It's kinda like losing your virginity to a hot chick without a condom on.

Quick.

haha, good call. Fable is an amazing game with great graphics. The plot is a bit cliched and the combat could use some tweaking (Its awesome, but not amazing) I think Fable is very underated. Its quick (25 hours) but thats how long KOTOR took me on light! I say yes, get it! I would give it 9.5 / 10 . This game blew me away its so good!

Even though the game is an RPG, it plays more like an action game. The combat system is pretty good. The funnest to do is aim your bow in first person and decapitate someone.

According to Penny Arcade, the game sucked. It had really crappy gameplay, the loads took forever, and freedom to roam in this vast world they bragged about? Forget it, your bound to a specific path like in so many other bad RPGs that you can only play once to get sick of it. So many good concepts have been ruined that way.

In short: Don't buy fable. Ask your parents if, as a birthday present, they will let you skip school for a day on November 9th so you can buy and play Halo 2. THAT would be a good present.

Penny Arcade also thought Halo sucked. But i still think they're wrong about that.

Try Morrowind: Elder Scrolls 3 and its xpac. It's much more promising. Several hundred side quests (besides the main quest), a full 360 degree island (that's blaming HUGE!) It takes a good 2-3 hours to get from one side of the island to another (maybe even more). It's crazy. So much you can do in that game.

Iv had it for a week and iv only played two hours on my file. Everything seems alright, but it just doesnt draw me in even though i like most rpgs. The fighting is good, but compared to zelda games the fighting system is about 1/3 as refined. You cannot easily switch targets, and i just dont enjoy the combat. All the combat to me seems very repetitive and boring. however, although i dont like the combat I expect that you might because there is a variety of things to do for combat, archery, meele, or a wide variety of magic. I find meele is the only useful way of fighting, but then again Iv only played it for two hours. I personally regret buying it, but that shouldn't stop you from trying it. I say rent it.

I've played Morrowinds and Fable, Morrowinds is much, much bigger, but each game has its own certain ups and downs. Fable is like the Zelda on XBOX, and is very, very addictive. So, if you have a lot of time to spare, get it, if you don't, you'll be tirturing yourself by only playing it an hour or two a day. I only play it if I can have a nice three-four hours. Its very fun. Definetly worth at least renting.
