Does flaming people on forums count as an esport?

I can get having seasonal playlists as special but I know for a fact I'd rather have the amount of choices Reach offers. After all, it only has 3 more playlists than Halo 3 does at the moment. In fact, if you didn't include all the DLC (For 3 and Reach) you'd end up with Reach having one less playlist for competitive multiplayer than Halo 3 does. The reason there are so many is do to Anniversary. (3 whole playlists just for that DLC)
What would be much better than that system would be to have ranked playlists. Things like Team Slayer, MLG, Team Objective, Lone Wolves, Team Snipers, and Squad Slayer/Battle. Then, instead of having social playlists, you have a custom server browser where people could either create custom P2P games or pay to rent a dedicated server from Microsoft. Here's a sort of pitch for that:
Hate all the playlist 343 has? Have a clan/community that you want to play with without having to worry about organized game nights? Want to be able to get online matches with custom content from organizations like MLG and GrifballHub without having to wait for 343/Microsoft to add it in through an update? Do you want to host your own games; where it's easy for other players to find you where you have completely control? A custom games browser is the thing you're looking for!
How do you like it? Microsoft would love it because I included them making money off it. Hardcore gamers love it because they can finally have a pure competitive arena customized to their opinions in an environment they can completely control. Casual players love it because they can make a game where everyone spawns with rockets and a jetpack. Everybody a winner!
i do indeed like that idea. It would also make it easier/faster to get teams of testers together to test custom maps and to test MLG variants and such. You could search by keyword, user, gametype, or a "throw me into a random game" option. Of course, there would still be private games and "friends only" settings.
It seems like Reach has more because of 4 FF, 4 Anniversary, 3 community, and then all the competitive.
