I just watched the trailer for the first time. And I was blown away, not by the graphics, not by the sounds, not by the music. But by the storyline. When the Banshees flew past and it showed the Captial Ship I thought "This isn't just a game anymore, this is a fight for survival."

Just with what's all going on. Where Cortana is, who she is with, where the Chief is, what he has to do. I never expected for it to be this big when I chose Halo as my first Xbox game at Dick Smith Electronics over Wreckless cos they were out of stock.

This game has blown me away, it feels so real. And when Cortana says "This is the way the world ends" I got shivers all over my body. This feels so real it's not funny.

This is not a game.

No, it's DEFINITELY just a game.

1) Turn off your box
2) Step outside
3) Inhale
4) Hold
5) Exhale
6) Repeat as necessary

The Halo 2 trailers inspired such a feeling too, but was the campaign as intense as they led us to believe? No, not even close.

I felt the same way the first time I got the leaf that transformed Mario into a raccoon.

Have to agree there. Wasn't a patch on what I was expecting, going from the previous game and the trailers.

How many Christians must you slap until one of them turns the other cheek?

Think about it, "God" is an atheist.

lol, or matched a " ┐" with a "▐▄ "or "▀" on Tetris.

Seriously though, at first watch, I was disappointed with the trailor, but after watching it a few times, I think its great. Guess I was too hyped for it at first.

Don't get me wrong, I can't wait to play halo 3, but the trailer of halo 3 is mainly halo 2 with HD and a little bit of new texturising and HDR

It's fun when we win and funny when we lose: Le Mediocrity
OR
Come take your verbal beating like a man in THE CAVE

The trailer did what it was supposed to: It incited the hardcore gamers to a fever pitch. It will not, however, win over any newcomers to the series. Not much there.
