This is an incredibly weak argument. The "a lot of games played, so more experience why Reach sucks" doesn't work.
Let's take food. I hate Suger Pops cereal. Following your logic, it would be expected that I would continue to eat Sugar Pops.
An Inheritor does not hate Reach. If they did, they would not continue to play something they don't enjoy.
Why would I possibly eat something I hate??
Me thinks the Reach haters like to create drama and they think it is cool to bash a game that they really enjoy.
Again, their behavior contradicts their argument.

Pretty ironic. I find the game pretty fantastic yet I have a small amount of games played.
Notice the pattern there?
If someone is an Inheritor, they (probably) have plenty of experience with the game, thus they'd be able to tell you why they think the game is bad.
If you haven't played as much, you wouldn't have the same experience as he/she does.
Just because someone has reached Inheritor, doesn't mean they like the game. Now why they would continue playing even after finding out they don't like the game? Beats me.
I'm an Inheritor, Reach isn't great. I like a few things about it, but I'd rather play Halo 2.
