Posted by: BBZak IIISorry, maybe I shouldve been more specific. Thats 300 games in competitive alone. Ive actually played more of this game then I should have (custom games & Forge).

So yes, Ive played every playlist and gametype, and played with the Default, Anniversary, and TU settings. Theyre all fine with me. But this thread isnt about whether I like the game or not.

Posted by: ScreamoWhen I said "Couldnt tell you" that meant I dont keep track of how often Ive matched extremely skilled players, but doesnt mean I havent.

I fully understand that players do tend to aggrandize certain game mechanics that can drastically change gameplay, but again, thats not what this thread is about.

I never said Bungie employees are good players at their games.

My point is that Bungie understands clearly how the components of their game effect gameplay, ie Jetpack.

The poster stated that since Bungie is not good at their own game, they don't understand how aspects of it effect gameplay.

They invented the damn thing. They understand it.

How many times did bungie get steaked during their "Bungie vs the world" day?

Most Bungie employees are terrible.

And your opinion that since Bungie is bad at their game, they don't understand how the components of their game - that THEY CREATED- effect gameplay is almost laughable.
that's just a fact, maybe if you were better at the game you could wrap your mind around it.

You can "hope" a game undergoes alterations that will enable you to enjoy it more. I understand that.

However, I am speaking of the "Reach Haters" (See Subject Line).

There are innumerable people on this site creating/writing threads expressing their strong dislike of Reach. They often, have played a high number of games which undercuts their position that they hate Reach.

if you believe I am "trying to make people feel stupid"' I suggest you be mindful of those who claim they hate Reach and then go on to play thousands of games of Reach.

Again, Pokeman sucks. You don't see me playing thousands of games of Pokeman.

I guess I fall under the "reach hater" category.
This game is sub-par to previous titles in the series.

I played Reach for about a year, knowing it was eventually going to get an update.... it did. it was brilliant... then all the reach kids that previously spewed out "adapt" to me, cried the TU was bad.

I played Reach more time then what I should of and I know.
I compare this game to its predecessors, and it's a living insult to them.

Reach sucks.

It's a good spin-off, non-related Halo game, better than allot on the market.
But it's a steaming pile of horse -blam!- for a Halo title.

No, they don't.

If they did have a clear understanding of their own mechanics, they wouldn't of been there in the first place.

Jetpack, down with AL, are the worst additions this game could of had.

Because YOU do not like an aspect of the game, does not result in the conclusion that Bungie doesn't "have a clear understanding of their mechanics".

For example . . . if I eat a pizza with onions and pepperon and I do not like pepperoni on my pizza, it does NOT mean the cook sucks.

Make sense?

you obviously have no idea what you're talking about.

that analogy would make more sense if the cook put jello and dog hair on your pizza.

Going through life doing activities that, in your words, are "a steaming pile of horse--blam!-" is one way to ensure an unhappy existence.

Might is suggest you play ANOTHER freaking game if Halo doesn't meet your standards.

I know I certainly would.

I'll post my analogy once again, with nothing else, it's written as clear as day what it is, FFS, I'll even bold it out.

No it would not. Since the cook gets to put anything he wants in what he cooks.

If YOU do not like an aspect of a game, it does not mean Bungie is a bad game developer.

exactly, the cook does what he wants. the cook decided to put dog hair and jello on your pizza. that makes him a pretty terrible cook.

that's exactly what bungie did to halo.

Because it's still better than the other games on the market. If CE had a good netcode and matchmaking, I would be playing that. If Halo 2 were since on Xbox LIVE, I would be playing that. And If Halo 3 had a better netcode, I would play that more than I do now.

I'll repeat it for the 3rd time, hopefully, as it goes, 3rd time is the charm.

Reach is a decent game out there compared to what is out on the market, BUT, when the comparisons turn to the previous Halo games, Reach it's a steaming pile of horse -blam!-.

Got it this time?

Saying "Reach is a decent game . . . " is much different than comparing it to horse crap.

You should be more consistent with your positions. Less chance of creating confusion.

Or perhaps over the course of this discussion you felt you needed to make adjustments to your position.

Not my fault you don't understand something after it was spelled out for you 3 times.

My position has never changed and not once have I changed it.
You just failed to read it properly.

Nope. SouthPole isn't a person. He's the avatar of the force of tryhards everywhere. He stalks the web looking for retards to set straight. He can not be stopped by mere bans or thread locks for he shall rise anew.

Why do you insist that we haven't adapted when we're clearly better than you?

These questions may never be answered.

Also, I'm not even at General yet. I don't play Reach.

For as many Reach haters there are on this site, not too many have stepped up to defend there position.

It sure got quiet. . .
