Then why is a thread on what Halo3 shouldn't have considered bad?

Just wondering why the consensus is avidly against hearing what we don't want in the game, and why for some reason they only want to hear what we do?

Aren't the two equally informative and equally important?

I only ask this because a thread I posted containing what we don't want to see in Halo3 was just locked, yet I see 14 threads in the first 3 pages concerning why we need the Assault Rifle from Halo1 in the game.

Perhaps someone could enlighten me as to why constructive opinions are no longer considered constructive simply due to the fact that they ask for something to be removed?

Possibly due to the manner in which the thoughts were given.

In the "Title Change, Who Knew?" thread.

Origionally it started out as a list of things I thought were long dead, and tried to open up fresh suggestions. However the thread took a different direction so instead of having an off topic thread from the title, I changed my topic to state that I changed the topic and left it a little more general to accomidate the direction of the thread posters.
