I think Johnston was great and all but realism was dampened with the invinsibility, now i think we should have Linda as a squad mate that covers your back from afar rather than helping you up close, seeing as shes a sniper and all. I think Michelle Rodriguez would fit the role perfectly. If you dont know who she is then Google her - shes the one in Lost and SWAT, she also did voice acting for Halo 2. Sure she would have to be invinsible but she would be far off so would not take much fire anyway. What are your thoughts/
Getting killed about six time is more realistic then not dieing at all?
I dont follow.
Ghey.Keep Johnson.

Johnson cant die, as its part of the etoryline that he doesn't die... so if he could die: He would die, be in the cut scene at the end, or half way through a level, and come back to life after the cut scene.....Its better he doesnt die.Just like the arbiter has Half-Jaw that doesnt die hes imperitive to the storyline, so he just DOESN'T die.[Edited on 6/1/2006]
I didnt say i want Johnston dead i just dont want him in gameplay, Linda from far away would be better with Rodriguez as the actor.
At least Johnson was only in a few scenes, rather then being able to leave every outside level to Linda to take care off.
Maybe your right but she could only be there for periods of time like johnston was or maybe it wasnt as simple as letting her take care of eveything, enter epic battles.
This is My signature. This is my Group combat Evolved
By the way, its not Johnston its Johnson.
I prefer it the way it is.
Crappy idea, besides, there will no NO spartans in H3 besides the Chief, the novels and games do not follow the same storylines.
Oh yeah apart from they do, Halo:The Flood was almost perfectly word for word synchronised with Halo 1. PS thanks for the Johnson correction.
No problem bro.
Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

It does doesnt it but she is a good actress so if you have the collectors ed then watch the casting and youll see what i mean. She kicks ass and i think she would make a great spartan.
I am...whimsical today.
Posted by: flabbergooseOh yeah apart from they do, Halo:The Flood was almost perfectly word for word synchronised with Halo 1. PS thanks for the Johnson correction.Pretty much, but The Flood was written by a guy different to who wrote Fall of Reach and First Strike (damn you grammar!). It's tough to say how accurate FoR and FS are, with regard to the storyline.
Straying off topic but i think that Eric Nylund would have to let Bungie read through his work especially regarding storyline before he published it so i think its safe to assume its accurate.
This is how it works, the books are affected by the game but the game is not affected by the books. this isn't saying that the book storylines are not true just that you won't see anyone from the books in the game.
My thought is.....you spelled "character" wrong.
Thanks for that but anything useful would be just dandy.
Michelle Rodriguez is already a voice actor in the game, she plays one the marines.
You will of course notice i already said that, but i think that she was quite possibly the only decent one, and i think she could do a spartan charactor well. Especially Linda.
Oh my bad, I think Jessica Simpson would be better though. just imagine "Master Chief Ive got your back, oh wait, How do I turn this thingy on again?"[Edited on 6/1/2006]
No worries man but what do you think about the topic.
nice topic, I would love to see another spartan.
