04 - 25

I think Bungie.net is lucky I joined when I did. I have never really been involved in another online community before or since, so I may have never joined up... I wonder what my life would have been like? Hopefully my time would have been better spent.

Because of this thread, every time I see an account as old as Recon 54, I'm just gonna assume that everyone behind that account is just as old as Recon 54 irl.

Oh hey there

It's a metaphor for the 07s' lack of identity. too old to be newfag, yet too new to be oldfag, we wander b.net in search of a home, forever trying to be something we are not.

Not necessarily. There are quite a few young members with oldish join dates.

The problem with your idea is that some older members have had more than just the account they use now.

For example I made this account when I made a new GT for H3 in 07. However I had an older account that was attached to my old H2 era gamertag. I'm 22.

More importantly, the older your account, the higher your average K/D ratio in Slayer. :)

I think the join date has very little to do with the age of the member.

“Strange,” mused the Director, as they turned away, “strange to think that even in Our Ford’s day most games were played without more apparatus than a ball or two and a few sticks and perhaps a bit of netting. imagine the folly of allowing people to play elaborate games which do nothing whatever to increase consumption.”

The Black Chapter!

Going off the graph, the average member has a K/D that is greater than 1; this would imply that the average player who isn't linked to B.Net has a K/D below 1, or simply that players with accounts are better than those without.

Sharp eyes. It makes sense that the more serious players would here, reliving games, studying their kills, analyzing heatmaps for killzones, maybe even talking tactics with a clan.

That is correct.

With b.net account: 1.1
Without b.net account: .8

This is for just games in the team slayer playlist, since that's the best common denominator.

Alot of 08s and '10s would be indicative of Halo 3 and Reach populations joining, but it would be hard to pinpoint exact age.

There's 04s that are only 20, 21 years old.
Yh 2008 was me getting a 360 and XBL, joined at 15, 19 now.
