I personally think it's a toss up. We've seen how successful the Live system can be with Halo2, but most PC gamers like what we've got.

It could bring more people to Live, or it could alienate a ton of potential h2pc and vista buyers if they have to pay for live service to play online.

As an option, yes. But as the main thing, no way.

If I have to pay, I expect all cheaters and abusers to not be on there. Live has a long way to go before it gets up to the standard Id pay for if H2 is anything to go by.

One thing I really hope they dont bring in is not being able to join games. Having no central server, and only being able to start games with others really sucks arse.

I want to do what I do in halo pc. Get a list of gametypes, and map I like, and just join quickly. With my ping to the server next to it. Im sure everyone has heard of the trouble people in the UK have been having with Halo2 and lag, due to it joining them to people in far off countries.

If bungie dont allow us to do that, then frankly they are retarded, and havent listened to what people want at all. I will not be buying halo2 for PC if they do that.

I don't think many people who want to play Halo 2 PC want matchmaking. They just want a list and choose rather than being told where they're going to play.

I think that if Halo mouse users played against Halo controller users it would be a HUGE advantage for the mouse users and unfair for the xbox users. (I thought I heard somewhere that live lets the xbox and pc play together) Secondly, I do not want to pay for live services and I like the way we play right now. I mean come on we pc gamers have no need for live we find stuff like Xfire and our own websites; we don't need live. We are the Computer Gamers and we can adapt!

Its already been established that its not going to be with Xbox users, bungie said so in one of their updates. The question is if they are going to make a seperate live account for PC players.

If they did, I assume people already paying for live would have it free, would just be a normal live account except you cannot interact Xbox and PC versions.

I agree with the above statement as well. Live includes lots of things PC players simply dont need, friends list etc.

What gets me is that Live users pay for it, but have no dedicated servers to go on, thus causing the lag many non US players seem to get.

I want dedicated servers. If all online games can do this for free, then they should be able to manage for Halo2.

Let there be CHAOS!

I think Halo 2 Vista online should be FREE, and it should definetly have built-in voice, friends list, clan support, etc etc like the Xbox version. And I swear to God... it better have a server list. To tell you the truth I don't mind matchmaking, but custom games are usually way better. Plus, its PC game! PC games that don't have a server list... will die. Really. Quick.

Also since Windows Vista and Live will probably like fuse together and interact with eachother, maybe Live users should get extra features on certain new PC games (like Halo 2). I'm not sure what they will do though...

Stupid parents let their stupid children play games that are rated M when they should be playing Big Birds Spelling Adventures

Also the AR is actually good in CQB now and no longer a glorified baseball bat.

Most people I play with on there aren't like that.

There are a few, but generally the people are mature late teens or adults.

There are some jerks, but they are few and far between.

Well, then Aj, you're lucky. Really lucky. Far and few in between, maybe for you.

I don't think Live Anywhere should be practical. Along with what you guys just said, I think that H2PC should have its own servers, and I think it should have a similar matchmaking system, but I don't think it should play with the XBL players.

Us PC players CANT WAIT to show up you controller guys....

A mouse and keyboard is a lot more accurate then a contoller (why do you think there is no auto aim on a pc)!

I don't think so because I think that it would really suck to be fed viruses from PC to Xbox, and the cheaters on Xbox are bad enough already. They won't try to mix the cheaters on Live with the PC players, who can't cheat if they aren't hosts.

No.Me as a Halo PC and H2 xbox live gamer,It would be horrible to have those vile modders from xbox live on a PC game. There are already enough mods on PC games already.Even though they are not as bad.
