I don't have a problem with my point of view of the Sarge dying, so I will not be sending PM's to anyone. And everyone is capable of an error, that includes Bungie and you, believe it or not.
I saw the Sarge die. Cortana said there were no survivors. So obviously the Sarge is a clone. A clone who retained all of Sarge's memories...and the clone Sarge remembered his last memory of fighting on Halo with that Elite and that one last warm embrace before obliteration that was prophetic in many ways since the Elites and the Humans joined forces at the end of Halo 2.
In fact, it was the Sarge who initiated this alliance...he knew better than anyone that peaceful coexistance and cooperation between the Covies and Humans was possible because of that hug.
And all this is from the video games, not some useless fan fiction written by authors I've never heard of before.
And don't bother sending your own works, Fox...I already have enough toilet paper here.
Also, please notice that I can make an arguement without resorting to name calling. Maybe if you have more conversations with s you will pick up this skill.
Read the -BLAM!- books! They explain why Sarge didn't get attacked by the flood, and how he escaped. The books are the ultimate resource when it comes to things like this, because they are more indepth. _-MINI SPOILER-_ They explain that the Sarge got some sort of Syndrome (don't remember the name exactly) from over exposure to a crate of plasma grenades, which the Flood din't seem to like. Also, he made it out with a few others on a lone pelican hidden on an asteroid which seemed to emit an echo that Cortana first assumed was a moon's echo. As it became louder, however, proved that it was not merely a moon, and it was an object. -_MINI SPOILER END-_
So, ya, read the books.
And, BTW, the writers of the books actually consulted Bungie for the story. These stories are not in error.
