It sounds like you're in the UK from what you're saying. I consulted with my fiance who lives in England about your problem. He told me to have you call 0-800-587-1102. That's the XBox Live number for the UK. They should be able to help you with your problem :)

Hey people... I posted this thread a few days ago but it seems to have disappeared for no reason. None of the mods have notified me that they moved it, and I dont think I was breaking any rules but Im posting again because I cant find the original :?

Anyway, I'm trying to play Halo CE in Hi Def on my 360, But it wont let me... I get this message;

"The cable you are using does not support the Pal:50 settings required by this game. Press B to return to the 360 Dashboard"

I am using the official 360 VGA cable (I had to buy it seperatley) And there is no way to select Pal:50 settings while using this cable. I thought that Bungie had said this game was backwards compatible and there were updates to play the game in Hi Def?

The only advice I have been given is to swap the cables back to scart to play this game, but I dont want to change my cables and video settings everytime I want to play this game because that somehow makes me loose any progress saves from checkpoint based games. (Halo and Halo2 being very much checkpoint based) Besides, I WANT to play the HIGH DEF version.

So does anyone know where I can get the required updates that Bungie talked about?

my 360s blog

do you have a hard drive?

Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

i believe a hard drive enables backwards contambiltytitty (spelling).
i ahve a hard drive but a couple of things went wrong.
1 hardly any of the games i have are on the bc list.
2 the ones that are don't work except halo 2 (my bro traded in halo1 the fool)
3 i believe an emulator for xblive is needed for bc except halo2

i don't know about halo 1

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

Yeah I can play halo with the scart lead plugged in, but that means switching over my VGA cable and defeats the purpose of this post... The XBL team for that number told me that I couldnt use the VGA cable and I would need to use the Scart.

But I want to play in Hi Def and not switch my cables all the time :'( waaah...

Yea I have a Hard Drive btw.
