What if we had the ability to mass message all the members of a chapter instead of having to individually PM the members?

Anyone but Foman. He smells like cheese.

Not that crazy. People have been asking for this feature for years.

I LOVE HALO! Better than any other game.

But I love Halo 3 and Combat Evolved - never got the chance to play Halo 2 :(

That's not a bad idea...

Can't you just make a group news article that only members can see? It would serve the same purpose pretty much.

  • 04.16.2012 2:41 PM PDT

I would like a "message user" button next to the accept/reject buttons in the group admin tools. You know, to message a user before accepting/rejecting them.

Would be soooo helpful.

Not really. Most groups have a rather significant amount of members who never even go to the group's main page.

Who the hell do you think I am?

This.

People should be expected to check a group frequently if they know there are events taking place.

Then why would someone be in a group in the first place if they don't even look at the main page?

That's a point. I suppose this feature would be useful.

We miss you Logan.
Ask any question. I'll help with anything on site or off.

This isn't crazy. This is a great idea. With the amount of members asking for this maybe achronos will add this to the next big update.

Challenge me to a Hawaiian Punch chugging contest. I dare you.

$.50 in store credit.

People have asked for this for years, but Bungie wont give it to us. I think we need to try something more drastic, like a hostage situation.

  • 04.16.2012 2:58 PM PDT

As others have said before me, it's not a crazy idea at all and many people have asked for it. I for one would love something like this to exist as it would help greatly to notify the entire group of an upcoming game night or something else.

Crazy idea for private groups, wouldn't it be nice if we could PM every member of bungie.net to be invited into our group?

OT: For large groups, that would be cool. But isn't that what the news feature is for? PMing would obviously be more effective, but still.

It would make spam a heck of allot easier...

But I still love the idea.

Bungie.net has 1:1 private messaging, so it'd effectively have to spam out individual private messages like crazy for this idea to work right now. Unless an overhaul to the PM system with a multi-user conversation approach is in the works.

Considering that the bulletins are very public....It's not something I like to use.Plus when I copypasta links and other things it gives me crap.

It's like a gigantic snowball, rolling down a mountain, eating kids on the way.

Could be helpful, but also has the potential to be very annoying in the wrong hands.

Per Audacia Ad Astra

It can be made exclusive to certain security roles.
