Subject: Halo 4 Expectations

Hello there fans of Bungie/Halo.

I came to settle something once and for all. As you can see all of the Halo games has come to an extraordinary success. Billions of fans are out there devasting the world, due to their lack of endurance, abide new games created by the o'mighty Bungie, or how they now name it, 343 Industries.

Before, but also after the release of Halo Reach, there have been several fans complaining about the distinctness of the previousy released Halo games. If I am highly correct, the Halo games are ''Pegi 17'' which infer that players must be mature enought to play that game.. I am most aware of how there will be kids and children complaining against what I have to say but give me a chance to hear me out..

Not only me, but also according to my friends via Xbox Live and reality, thought the Halo games were completed by easiness. The game (Not only Halo Reach) is too far distinct which means that, even a child would be able to complete the game. This doesn't certainly concern Multi Player, but also the mare Campaign. The missions are obviously clear, shoot the evil bastards and continue your journey throuhout the map. Simple as that.. As I previousley mentioned, even a kid who doesn't understand a crap of the game would be able to finish the game in notime. Not only Campaign but also MultiPlayer! And this is what drags the game down, the distinctness of the game! This game is made for 17 or elder people, it is not supposed to be suitable for children, we are ment to use our own brains to be able to get through the game! Now any kid really do have this game and keep derping and herping all over the place..

Question is... how will this be changed in the mere Campaign in Halo 4? How do we decrease the distinctness? Everyone's expecting a colossal game, but if the missions are going to continue to look the same, I believe the elder fans would dramatically lose their expectations (and possibly their interest).

For an example: Master Chief is stuck in a room and apparently no escaping possibilities. Find your own way out, check the roof, check the floor, just let us USE our own brains. This might've been a weird example, but you really do see my point.

Apart from the Campaign, could MultiPlayer - Matchmaking get a similiar change? In that case how? Leave your thoughts and ideas below! And thanks for reading.

take Metroid Prime into account, you shoot plenty of stuff there, but the whole time there are puzzles to solve as well

Unnecessary to post the whole "TLDR" thing, it means nothing

~ Videogames are my favorite videogames ~

The only thing I would've liked in more of the Halo games is optional or hidden objectives as you move through a mission.
Completing them isn't necessary, but doing so would give helpful things like weapons or more AI perhaps, making the primary stuff more managable in the long run.

Or more ways to approach multiple objectives, like the second mission of Halo CE.

If you buy halo on the sole basis for campaign your a -blam!- idiot. They need to focus 95% on Multi player and 5% on campaign

You must confront your inabilities
You must adjust to your capabilities

I expect gameplay as fast as Halo 2.

I intend to live forever, or die trying,

so far, so good.

Sounds like you want Halo 4 to be like Doom or Duke 3D.

Where you spent hours trying to find the bloody key pass to a door.

I do not agree.

Yes, Multi-Player is very very important and keeps us playing years after the game has been released.

But most people love the story, and the Campaign is the story, so this is just as important to me as Multi-Player.

Even if my total play time of the campaign is 5% and 95% is Multi-Player, I want the campaign to be the best it can be.

@THOMSY99 You're partially right, but Halo has an incredible lack of it. Atleast decrease the disctinctness of the game, which actually excite the gamers more. We're not after a terribly difficult Campaign nor Multiplayer, but atleast enought creativeness which still keeps the interest and fun going!
There's nothing we can change in the campaign which is partially the reason to why I wrote this topic, to be able to let people know, especially the game creators which I hope this topic reaches to. Hopefully we might get a really nice change. But I believe that is up to the game creators and not us as fans.
But also, how can we as a society increase the creativeness of Matchmaking or atleast, several Gametypes? Please feel free to share YOUR ideas , which might actually get something big..
Are there any suggestions about how to increase the creativeness among Matchmaking? Please, feel free to share. Someday this could be something big.

So is Half-Life 2. But it has puzzles like things in some of the areas. Even Halo 3 has a puzzle. You know that one skull you had to jump through the rings in a certain order? That was a puzzle.

Blargitty blarg, you honk bag.- Sarge as an elite

Matchmaking is gonna be different in H4. This thing called Infinity will be an addition to the normal matchmaking. i dont know what it is though... Matchmaking Forge?

  • 04.17.2012 8:36 AM PDT

More randomness like on New Alexandria , side missions would be good ,also they must keep the skulls .
The campaign is everything in Halo , it keeps us guessing ,but it also helps point us in the next games direction .

lolno. It's just another name for matchmaking, nothing significant about it has changed. Read the info.

metroid prime? pshh thats nothing compared to half life 2 or portal 1/2, both of those have great stories, require some pretty decent brainpower, and some stuff is spontaneous which makes for a great campaign or story mode. i think valve should make the next halo game

  • 04.17.2012 11:41 AM PDT

i think this has been said somewhere else here on the forum, but i think instead making us the spartans weaker on higher difficulties, we should just make the enemies smarter, i know thats not making things creative, but it would at least make the campaign better. i mean how many times have you encountered an elite who shoots and then just pauses for a minute so you can kill him?

  • 04.17.2012 11:47 AM PDT

Billions of fans? lol

  • 04.17.2012 11:48 AM PDT

Well will people just shut up and JAM THE PRE ORDER BUTTON ON THE GAME

P.S:A good change would be if Master Chief encounters a gigantic enemy about the size of the tallest building in New Alexandria and he had to climb it and shoot different parts of the enemy.
