I understand nothing because my life is a conspiracy.

I was bored today so I decided to watch some Halo: Reach ViDocs and I noticed some people, like Tyson Green, are senior designers, designers, etc. Then, out of curiosity I checked the Career Opportunities page and could only find information on world designer and economy designer. Anyways, I was wondering if I could get more information on those jobs not listed because I am interested in what the job is entitled to. Thanks.

Halo 3 (31st), ODST (14th) and Reach (4th) Mythic Conqueror. (Mythic is Solo, Legendary, All skulls on + scoring on and no deaths/saves).

What do you mean by that?

'Senior Designer' and 'Designer' are sort-of wishy-washy job roles. They construct the plans for systems, things, of a general nature related to the game. 'Senior' just means older, sometimes better, and almost always better payed!

A designer might equally define the role and function of a weapon, or how a gametype works, or specify how part of the cR system works etc.

That's good. I want to get into the game industry, but I think I'd suck at the programing stuff and I'd like to design or even write.

I know Bungie does sci-fi games and such, but just for the sake of this example let's say they are making a WWII game. Would designing involve research on events, weapons, historical figures, etc?

P.S. Sorry for my horribly constructed topic. I was in a lazy typing mood.

Per Audacia Ad Astra

Yes. Seeing how guns function so the animators can animate/model weapons as good as possible. 'Same with vehicles.

I haven't finished reading this; but I think you'll find it useful. It's an article on game designers.
