I say bull. It's not the ark. If you go back to Halo 2 and look inside High Charity, what do you see? a forerunner landing pad. It looks shockingly simmilar to the earth artifact, minus pillars. The hole in the clouds even looks like the hole in the ceiling of High Charity.
And on the ark, I dont think its the building. In the Bible, which we all know Halo is heavily based on, there are two arks. the ark of the covenant, and noah's ark. Does everyone see why the former is so much more likely to be THE ark?
For those of you who have read Genesis, you know that between Noahs earliest direct ancestor and Noahs, its several thousand years. I've done the calculations, and noah (along with his parents, grandaparents, ect.) lived about 700 years apeice. They were Forerunner.
The ark of the covenant is supposedly a box containing the ten commandments. I think that this is simply another peice of human misunderstanding. Tha ark of the covenant is a data chip conatainng backup copies of the ten major protocals that halo, and the monitirs, must follow. When its plugged in to whatever it is that turns Halo on, it reminds halo, and the moniters, what to do.
Plus, evolution and carbon dating and fossils date Humanitie's origins to central Africa, where this artifact (landing pad) is found. I think that noahs ark landed there. Noahs ark was a unique design, which is why there are pillars on this pad. noah released humaitie into the wild, and left.
Back to the Genesis thing. In Genesis, it gives the exact dimensions of Noahs ark. and let me tell you, they are really f-ing small. 16x32 cubits. I cant remember the third dimension. If those cubits arent really cubits, but some larger measurement, then they make a nice size spaceship. espeacially if its not carrying two actual animals of every species, but genetic copies of both sexes. I refer you to Arthur C. Clarke's Cradle on that theory.
before you all say I insane and think Hlao is real, I dont. I think someone is ridiculously smart at Bungie, and has worked all this biblical stuff into the damn game.
