Subject: Why does halo have such a bad community?

Why does halo have such a bad community it seems as if once they want something they get it then hate it recently people have been bashing halo 4 for not having elites in multiplayer but it seems before the news was spread out everyone hated play as elites in reach i swear either gaming communities are getting bad or halo reach specifically has a bad community tell me what you think

Life is a journey, if you spend all of it with your nose in your map, you may miss some of the best parts.

Deal with it, or ignore it. Pretty simple.

Halo: 4? Ohh you mean Halo: Reach 2.

Ohai, I'm Loscocco (pronounced Loss-cocoa). I'm a college student (computer science major), 3D animator, and long-time Halo player.

You see, communities consist of more than one person, hence why when one group doesn't like something, it doesn't equate to the entire community not liking something and vise versa.

Halo 2 > Halo 3 > Halo 3 ODST > Halo Reach > Halo CE

Based on campaigns.

The Reach community sucks balls, partly because of butthurt kids and partly because of self proclaimed pros who are obsessed with true skill and think the game should be all competitive and deadly serious, and if you are a casual then you are a retard and a troll in their opinion

pretty much sums up the reach community

Nope. SouthPole isn't a person. He's the avatar of the force of tryhards everywhere. He stalks the web looking for retards to set straight. He can not be stopped by mere bans or thread locks for he shall rise anew.

lol, You're not biased at all.

Don't act like you know what we want. We're fine with you having your retarded playlists, but as soon as we want some competitive playlists (something Halo was built upon), you flip the -blam!- out.

Not really. Back when I actually cared about Halo multiplayer it just bugged me that you all wanted our playlist out of the game

But oh well, I'm not going to argue with anyone. I'm done with multiplayer on Live

I wasn't aware Halo 2 had an MLG playlist. Also everything he said is true.

I think your blind hatred for the competitive community is clouding your judgement.

I see no problem with casuals, as long as they're contained into Team Slayer with armor lock and 100% bloom.

I wouldn't hate the competitive community if they stopped insulting us and calling us this and that just because we don't take the game as seriously

Are you retarded? MLG was a huge part of Halo 2.

Nothing he said was true. We're fine with you having your infection and griffball playlists. We get mad when you ruin our playlists.

Immortality: A toy which people cry for, And on their knees apply for, Dispute, contend and lie for, And if allowed Would be right proud Eternally to die for.

Call of duty's is worse.

I would say that Waypoint has a bad community, while Halo does not. Halo's community is very demanding, but not bad.

Lol Mark V Guy, why does the competitive community hate casuals? It's not because they exist and those "self proclaimed elitist pros" just hate anyone that isn't them; the competitive community hates the casuals because the casuals try to talk for all of Halo and what it should be.

1) You have competitive people hating a certain game mechanic and wanting change.

2) You get casuals that are completely indifferent to that same game mechanic, yet feel the need to keep it because they don't mind it because they have no in-depth knowledge on it. They base how top-tier competitive gaming should play based on the fact that they play like and with gamers that are pants-on-head retarded.

Competitive players want to change everything that affects them negatively, and casuals want to change everything that doesn't affect them/has no impact on them.

  • 04.17.2012 4:43 PM PDT

Closest thing to competitive is TU Playlist and MLG(maybe Snipers, Invasion, or Rumple Pit on occasion). Anything else is broken, not updated, or casual( or anniversary or very specific gametype like SWAT, which are a whole different dish.)

And the community is probably just angry with how anything competitive is treated dirt poor and anything casual 343(and Bungie) holds onto it for dear life.
