Do you like the aesthetics/layout of this site?
And what would you change?

For me, I would make Coup 5 part of Bungie.net, rather than it be an add on. It would add some more colour.
But it would have to moderated. I think the current coup mods are doing a pretty good job, considering the fact that ponies are the worst you'd see.

No... please no. I think the site is more or less perfect as it is.

Nah, i like the site. It's simple and stylish, and most importantly easy to use.

The only thing I'd add from coup would be custom avatars.
But then, what's left for the mods?

It would destroy the scheme of the site. Coup got too customizable when they added backgrounds, flashy stuff like that. That's why I don't use it anymore.

It's a prettier site than other forums I've seen, that's for sure. What's Coup 5?

It lets you edit your avatar, post background, title, title colour font etc.
It also lets you see others "Coups."

It's an add on for either Google chrome or Firefox.

Why do people in ship mutinies always ask for "better treatment"? I'd ask for a pinball machine, because with all that rocking back and forth, you'd get a lot of free games.

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean? It's a mystery, and that's why so is mankind.

I want the old navbar

Oh, that sounds cool. I only use Internet Explorer though so I'll have to give it a miss.

It is one of the most aesthetic forum sites I have ever seen, but I know that they can do way better.

I know that Bungie is dark right now, but I wish the website layout was a little brighter.

I don't. I often visit here late at night and the last thing I want is my eyes to be assaulted with bright colours.

I'm currently browsing with my phone before sleepy-time so I have to agree with this.

Bungie.net has by far the sleekest web design of any game developer I've ever seen, and has a lot of class and style, too. The only issue is that there are a lot of profile restrictions, but this also leads to having really clean and easy-to-read pages which I love.

This forum engine features a lot of things that I've never seen any other forum have.

Say what?

I liked the Halo 2 era site the best, but that is just me.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

I'm not saying white or anything, I just get annoyed at the fact that I always see my own reflection while I browse here.

You imply a level of control over Halo: Reach matchmaking that we no longer have. Or, in your vernacular, it isn't our shiznit anymore.

I hate websites with "navbars", the reason that you don't see them anymore is because they always get in the way of what you're trying to read/click. I did like the spaceship look of it though, chrome designs make you feel pretty advanced.

Overall I really like the layout and aesthetics of the site. The forum drop-down menu lets you be a click away from the community without having to navigate the supercategory. Bungie.net's front-page is very inviting but I wish I was able to navigate the earlier news-i[dates easier. I always loved the blue/black color scheme of the site, I definitely want that to stay in the next update. Custom avatars would change the aesthetics too much, the default avatars aren't extremely contrasting so they let the members have some personality while still keeping the color under control. I know we're allowed to have custom Halo emblems but generally they're aren't as repulsing as if the site allowed custom avatars. In the next update I hope Bungie experiments with different layouts and different ways to navigate the site, I'm pretty excited to see what the Webteam has been working on.

The forum layout is, by far, the greatest forum layout ever. It has a simple avatar, name, and post. So many other forums are littered with signatures, photos, and other random -blam!- that detracts from the quality of the posts.
