This has been one of the speculations forever, but good of you to post your thoughts.

It fits with the biblical reference of how the Ark protects the new covenant from the flood.

If only you had seen the hundred other theories which erupted during the time when Zanzibar still reigned most spam-filled.
Anywho, this idea is simple, yet probably one of the most true to what will happen in end-game.

Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

no offense but don't assume about biblical connections.
no-one said the ark was a shield (could be)
the forerunners are not human.

I wasn't operating under an assumption. It's just my opinion, based on everything that I have observed in Halo. What else would the Ark be? And what evidence do you have that the Forerunners aren't human?

i don't want to spell it out to you it's on threads all over the place. but i'll try.

reclaimers are not necesserily forerunner, the foerunners could have named the humans that when watching them from space.

as i have said before the other seven rings could have been activated at various points throughout prehistory coinciding with mass extinctions with only alpha and delta halos activated once. humans could have evolved to be immune to the rings blast along with any other creature that was alive and did not die 100,000 years ago.

also humans have been around for approximately 2 million years with only the last ten thousand or so becoming civilised, so any idea that the ark harboured early humans can't be true.

All of that is just as much speculation as mine was.

The Forerunners haven't been around for over 100,000 years. A human named us humans, not a Forerunner. Was that local Threshold years, by the way? How do you activate one ring (Alpha), without activating them all? If humans are immune to the rings' blast, but are capable of sustaining the Flood, then how are the Halos supposed to stop the Flood? Have you read the Bible? The flood happened after civilization was established. That was the whole point of it.

sorry to annoy you. every1 can have an opinion and freedom of speech.
when did it say in halo1 or 2 that all seven were activated 100,000 years ago? post a quote or link. natural selection obviously made it so that some creatures could survive the halos, something the forerunners did not intend. STOP MAKING BIBLICAL REFERENCES.
