Sorry, this has got me confused. I tryed - the other day - to link up 2 xboxs and play halo with my friends, but it didnt work, the system link button wasnt highlighted. I checked everything, it was all plugged in right, so i rang the Xbox support line. The guy said that there were different versions of halo that would not work together. He said there were a few different versions, Original Halo, "Game of the year" Halo, and some other one. Mine must be game of the year, cause its a "classic".. well thats what the cover says. This is bull -blam!-. Why make different versions that arent compaitble with each other but still no say anything on the case about it?

Is this true about different versions?

Appreciate help, thanks.

Yea, its cool now. The Xbox Support Helpline dude i spoke to was a douche, and i now have the right cable. But i found out that my game is compatible with original Halo, but Halo "Game of the year" is different then the other ones.

Thanks anyways.

I haven't much experience with XBox halo, so this might be moot-
But on the PC Version if you played on a server which had a modded map that you didn't, funky things would happen.

So have you tried linking to different Xboxs?
