All I ever see is snipe, no-scope, snipe, snipe, no-scope, double kill no-scope, blah blah blah... You get the idea.

Don't get me wrong, most montages are beast, especially the MLG montages. But doesn't it get boring seeing snipes after snipes?

I suppose it all comes down to what the person deems montage worthy. I have a crateload of clips that I saved over the months, but since I can't edit for -blam!-, the montages I try to make have crap quality and poor editing. Now I spend some of my time checking out other people's montages and it's mostly snipes. Hell, having a rocket multi-kill is considered noobish these days.

I wonder if having an Overkill with only an AR is considered montage worthy? What do you think about today's montages?

Trolling with armor lock is definitely montage worthy.

I will admit that the intro was a little strange, but the whole video was amazing beyond the realm of words.

The degradation of the majority of montages is not a function of declining skills or content but a result of the commonality of technology for producing these videos.

The older montages came primarily from people with prior experience and training in video editing. The accessibility has made it so that even editing plebeians, such as myself, have access to the tools necessary to produce content.

To put it bluntly: more people producing stuff = higher level of sub par content.
