Bungie want us to think that the artifact on the earth is the arc since it was left as a cliffhanger at the end of halo 2. also it is 1 third the way through the game apparantly so that is about the same time MC would be getting to it (since he has to fight his way off the ship etc, and arbiter will surely have some missions too).

i see three possibilities, they are tricking us (would bungie really do that...? lol). they could be saying "look you fools! the arc was on eath the whole time! stop guessing!". or they could have assumeed that we knew it was on earth anyway so this wasnt maybe such a huge revelation but more a trailer for us to say "i knew it was on earth! you didnt believe me!"

i think its probably the former, like its a halo or something... just putting this out there, love you too :D

Bungie want us to think....

Yep... that's why I am in love with Halo.

I seriously think that they're coming out with a bit of a mind-bender for this conclusion.

I wouldn't doubt it. They like to -blam!- with us.

If you read the information on this site about Halo 3, though, you will see that it definitely points to the Ark being on Earth.

i din't think the ark was (on) earth at the end of h2, i imagined a literal semicircle or something floating in space. i'm stupid and i didn't see that 343 says the ark, arbiter saysm where is that? cut to the forerunner ship approaching earth

If the Ark were something floating in space near Earth, wouldn't we have found it?

Quick as a razor, sharp as a bullet.

no i imagined it not being near earth, just a big forerunner semicircle floating in the middle of nowhere, swarming with brutes.

that's just what i thought before realising it was (on) earth. i don't think that anymore.

the ark being on earth or earth itself is just too easy an explanation. where's the mystery in that?

The Frozen Minority - The most infamous clan borne from the Seventh Column.

You see a sketch on the whiteboard on the DVD that is clearly an early concept from the trailer and it says "THE ARK" under it.

It isn't official, therefor Bungie could just be using it to mislead us. I'm not saying it's true but i'm saying it doesn't prove much.

that is my point! everything we have seen so far is that earth has something to do with the ark. the huge forruner thing under the crust, the light, the fact that the covies came here not expecting us to be here, that the humans are reclaimers. im just saying, is far too obvious for it to actually end up being the arc? im not sure, but i sure cant wait to find out now, bungie have been extreemly successful with this trailer, im trying to think to hard about it, and end up going in circles. you know, its too obvious so it cant be, but if its not what is it? but it has to be the arc, but it cant? like that. should be a good game.

having said that, i will be dissapointed when it ships, i am already too hyped and its only just been announced.

love you.
