Bit late I know,

but what about an idea for bloom...
instead of the bullet scattering like the DMR is being held by a dead snake... it stayed in the middle of the reticule?
The reticule will still expand though.

Silly bungie.

EDIT: Also, if it does slow down gameplay considerably, could always the DMR a 4 shot.

Ohai, I'm Loscocco (pronounced Loss-cocoa). I'm a college student (computer science major), 3D animator, and long-time Halo player.

If you play the MLG playlist, there are settings where there is no bloom at all.

Also, the problem isn't that it slows gameplay down so much, it is that its inconsistency makes a DMR duel centered more around who got lucky, which really doesn't make sense in a skill-based shooter.

If the reticle bloomed but the bullet stayed in the middle, it would be the same as no bloom. This thread is dildos.

>No bloom is only in MLG. Not everyone plays MLG.

>This type of bloom is to do what bungie originally wanted to do; to make timing crucial to winning DMR duels in addition to aiming.

>Dildos to yourself.

WOW are you retarded? If the reticle blooms but the bullet stays in the middle if your reticle then the bloom is purely visual and the gun operayes as if there was no bloom. HOW ARE YOU NOT UNDERSTANDING THIS??

Yeah I did.
"If the bullets didn't scatter, what if they stayed in the middle?"

...they do...in MLG Zero Bloom. So what are you asking?

Are you asking if the VISUAL aspect of bloom stayed, but with the zero spread found in Zero Bloom? What would be the point? It wouldn't really be difficult in the slightest to center, it would just make no sense.

Oh yeah, since somebody does not believe what YOU believe; that makes us vapid...
I cannot grasp that what you call "Something happened to nothing, and that nothing became something, and it was smaller than than a period."

There is a gametype in lolmlg with zero bloom.
However, not everyone plays lolmlg, so I don't know.

Yes that's exactly what I'm asking, no it wouldn't be difficult to centre by yourself.
But - it's better than full/85% bloom, it prevents cross-mapping, and we can get more competitive gameplay in gametypes other than MLG. AND it will actually benefit pacers.

Also, note that I did include 'bit late' for a reason, what I mean is that Bungie should have implemented this to all playlists in the first -blam!- place.

How does that prevent cross mapping and help pacers if it still shoots always on target.
Humans are not that dumb in figuring out where the relative middle of a circle is, especially with aim assist involved.

Well..unless you know nothing about circles I guess..
