So I'm assuming that most of you guys have heard the released tracks from the Halo 4 soundtrack. My question is will they have remix's of the classic Halo pieces like A Walk in the Woods, or On a Pale Horse?

Vengeance only leads to an ongoing cycle of hatred.

I remember them stating that they would incorporate some old music with the new. I get the vibe that there's not going to be a lot mixed from the old, though. Don't ask for a source, I honestly don't remember where I saw it. It's from one of the videos I've watched. Good chance the Music ViDoc. Either way, you'll just have to take my word for it. I wouldn't lie.

As the developers and mainly the soundtrack department said, they want to still have that Halo feel while making something new and their own while still being respectful to the series. That being said it's not exactly known for sure that there will or will not be remixes of the classic Halo pieces. Who knows maybe they will add bonus tracks to an official soundtrack release down the road. Right now it's just speculation. But I'm sure we will hear some new awesome stuff inspired by the previous games but still being original.

Quote from Confucius

By three methods we may learn wisdom: First, by reflection, which is noblest; Second, by imitation, which is easiest; and third by experience, which is the bitterest.

He defined the game with its music

Believe. Bungie.

I like to believe that he defined music for gaming in general. I haven't played another game yet where i have actually stopped what im doing in the middle of a dieing city and listen to the the score he created. No other game ever.

I recommend you play Journey. Marty is good, hell he's one of the best contemporary composers out there today IMO, but Austin Wintory's score for Journey is perfect.

Example track (and my personal favourite).

If only it wasn't a PS3 exclusive. I remember seeing the first trailer for the game and wanting to buy it...Then found out it was a PS3 exclusive...and I got sadface.

I would be disappointed if the music wasn't very good.

When I joined the core we didn't have any fancy shmancy tanks. We had sticks, two sticks and a rock for a whole platoon. And we had to share the rock. Buck up boy. You're one vary lucky marine.

ProHOTSHOT I am the same, this is the only game in which I have stopped playing just to listen to the music and then get killed by an army of stalking covenant. "Stop shooting me! I am trying to hear this."

Man, I'm going to miss Marty's music so much in Halo. I feel a game's music is very important, and I hope 343 do a good job with it.
