I just notice this. I could be really really late on this one but.....

Bungies "O Brave New World" is a reference to Shakespeares "The Tempest"

I also notice (thanks to sparknotes)
http://www.sparknotes.com/shakespeare/tempest/summary.html

Lightning cracks, and the mariners cry that the ship has been hit. Everyone prepares to sink.
The next scene begins much more quietly. Miranda and Prospero stand on the shore of their island, looking out to sea at the recent shipwreck. Miranda asks her father to do anything he can to help the poor souls in the ship.

The first thing that came to mind was the opening of Halo: CE.

The covenant attack the ship (Lighting Cracks). Mariners Cry (Keyes putting the ship on High Alert). Everyone prepares the escape pods (Everyone prepares to sink). Chief lands on halo and the first mission is saving the marines (Miranda asks her father to do anything he can to help the poor souls).

Also, did you know Master Chief's real name is Romeo Montague? And Cortana is a complicated code word for Juliet Capulet.

Also 343 Guilty Sparks' original name was Othello and in a little known Halo novel the UNSC went back to the Medieval Era where they were known as the King's Men.

“Oh, it’s a little bit of everything, it’s the mountains, it’s the fog, it’s the news at six o’clock, it’s the death of my first dog, it’s the angels up above me, it’s the song that they don’t sing, It’s a little bit of everything.”
- Dawes, A little bit of everything

I like Shakespeare, I like drama, I like Bungie's videogames.

An ode to the work of Shakespeare is never a bad thing.
