Subject: are spartan 3s able to wear mk 6 prototype helmet on their mk 5 armor

i want to know if any spartan 3s example (noble 6) are capable of wearing mjolnir mk 6 prototype helmet on their mk 5 armor because i read another forum explaining if you want noble 6 wearing mk 6 it meant he was testing it out and another question is jun A266 from halo reach is wearing a mk 5 or mk 6 scout helmet because the scout helmet description in halo reach says its mk 6 and i thought it was mk 5 helmet.

If it was for testing purposes, I don't see why it wouldn't be made compatible with the current armor in some way.
At least that's what it states ingame for the helmet.

Which doesn't make a lot of sense to begin with.

Have to get those field tests done somehow right?

Yes.

On unstable Spartan-IIIs that a grand majority aren't even outfitted to wear that type of equipment to begin with because of how absurdly expensive it is.

That's like asking a rabid wolverine to try out a dress for me, I'm either left satisfied with the dress intact, or having to pay the entire thing because the wolverine decided to test its claws on it... then on me.

I'm sure Noble Team would be far from the only ones to do field tests on cutting edge tech, besides they were known as some of the best when it came to SIII's, so of course they weren't considered expendable anymore like the others given that they were outfitted with shielded power armor normally reserved for SII's, so they had to have at least some sort of trust thing going on with research divisions when it came to classified material.

Or that could be all completely wrong, I really wouldn't know honestly.

There were some S-IIIs that had high-tech stuff - ironically, all of them are dead. Several Headhunters for example and Noble Team being the only one actually seen.

But even then, SIIIs are rather... unstable. I, personally, wouldn't trust any of Noble Team - save Jorge - with my dog.

Well it is war..death is unavoidable sometimes, even with the good stuff. I'd imagine only those who stood out as more 'normal', or at least showed exceptional skills in their spartan class could be given that kind of equipment.
Emile was probably borderline though...

No, no, literally it was all of the S-IIIs that were unstable. Even Noble Team - which I would agree. The entirety of the S-III program was not to get genetically perfect kids like the S-IIs, but to get kids that are just barely able to pass the tests. As a result, a lot of the kids are mentally unstable and have even undergone neurological changes to compensate for their lack of genetic superiority.

So, there wasn't any S-III that was.. er, normal.

Noble Team, in my opinion, was unstable and the Headhunters were worse. It didn't really matter if they were.. "normal" I suppose their military record needed to speak for itself. The general S-III class though received rather mediocre equipment because of timing and funding.

Plus, the S-IIIs were designed for suicide missions, even the glorious Noble Team.
